The Best of 2021 | Behind the Scenes | Tiffany + Phillip
Who would have ever thought we’d go through TWO YEARS of pandemic weddings?! Phillip and I are soooooo grateful to still have our jobs, thankful for our gracious couples navigating MULTIPLE reschedules (or even big changes to their dream days), and for our health getting through another season! 🙂
2021 brought us sessions with lots of pups (Phillip will always be the happiest with a dog around!), sessions and weddings in NEW to us locations, weddings with incredibly talented vendors who we had the pleasure of meeting, and lots of crazy weather. (Was it just me – or was 2021 extra windy and rainy?!)
The most notable accomplishment was photographing our 150th wedding in May 2021!!!! YAYY!!!!!! It was an EPIC wedding to hit that memorable mark – click HERE to see it! We even had THREE other TLJ Couples there – and we all took a photo together in Crysta & Trevor’s PhotoBooth!!! 🙂 We came home after the wedding to a SURPRISE from my family – our living room was decorated with 150 “cameras” strung up, balloons, a letter/gift from Phillip to me, and treats!!!! It was such a fun celebration! 🙂
We finished out the year with our 165th wedding to date! So mindblowing to think that we’ve had 330 incredible people in our lives over the last few years. Our TLJ family is growing every year with new babies or fur babies – and it makes US feel like proud parents too!!!
A few other exciting things professionally was our styled shoot from last year being published on Southern Bride AND Heart of NC Weddings!!! Then we had the honor of participating in The Bradford’s Open House and meeting some amazing new TLJ Couples there!
We had the honor of photographing one of our TLJ Couples in our FAVORITE CITY this year – Charleston! It was a dream come true, and Lauren + Micheal were the perfect people to experience that session with! Click HERE if you want to see there gorgeous session! 🙂
My mom and sister helped with shoots when Phillip was out of town for work & for our Boudior sessions this year! So thankful for their willingness to always help me!
Once again this year we had to move a lot of our in-person meetings with our TLJ Couples to zoom! It was an adjustment not being able to treat our couples to coffee or host them in our home – but thankful we can still catch up and meet! Thank you all for being so flexible – especially with the awkwardness of zoom when it freezes or lags HAHA!
After a crazy year of an insane workload + emotional toll we all faced – Phillip and I were blessed with INCREDIBLE couples in 2021 to ease that burden. My love language is definitely “words of affirmation” – and I was blown away time after time with the amount of LOVE shown to us by our couples AND their families this year!!! Text messages, emails, DMs, thank you notes, and even gifts were sent to us – and I was in tears of joy over how thankful I am!!!!!! We are truly blessed to have the most kind, thoughtful, and selfless couples. Thank you to EACH of you who take the time to send me encouragement and messages!!!!!! 🙂
