Madison & Garrett = The Maxwell Wedding Day!

Our very first wedding of 2023 was Madison & Garrett’s!!! After a week full of rainy days, we were blessed with a sunny (but cold!) wedding day – and it we were so grateful!!! Even the next day was another rainy day, but Saturday was just perfect for these two!!! 🙂

I kicked off my morning with the girls at The Maxwell! I styled & photographed all their beautiful details while the girls got pampered by Ageless Skin Spa and relaxed in the bridal suite. Phillip drove down to Dunn to photograph Garrett and his guys at The Bearded Goose – getting haircuts, their beards conditioned, and shoes shined. Phillip had the best time doing something so different & exploring around downtown Dunn for the guys pre-ceremony portraits! 🙂

Madison & her dad had a sweet First Look – he was so excited and emotional to see his little girl. It was precious! After that, Madison & her girls braved the chilly outdoors for their portraits! It was such a beautiful little spot with ivy growing on the exterior walls – I love that area at the Maxwell!!

Next was Garrett & Madison’s First Look! We went right into some Bride & Groom portraits in front of their favorite feature at the Maxwell – the fireplace mantel! Expressions of Love Florist had done an incredible job with a floral installation on the mantel that I LOVED! It was the perfect backdrop for indoor photos on a cold day!

The ceremony was super personal and meaningful – performed by Rebecca with Oak City Ceremonies. I loved hearing more about their love story!!! Afterwards, we photographed family & bridal party portraits while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour, and then we snuck Madison & Garrett outside one last time to catch the sun setting behind the trees. Those were so beautiful!!! 🙂

The reception kicked off with a bang thanks to Vic with All Events DJ – and the yummiest food by Rocky Top Catering (Phillip LOVES their short rib!!!!) Madison & Garrett took time to talk with each table, which is why having a guest count of 72 is so nice! They could make time for everyone. Then it was time to PARTY!!! Madison requested “trap music” – and had a great time dancing together with all her friends, haha!

It was such a beautiful way to kick off our 2023 season! I can’t wait for you to see my favorite photos below. Enjoy!!!!
