It can’t get much better than this – our favorite city photographing a beautiful bride on a sunny day! What a DREAM this Bridal Session day was with Katie!!! We woke up to the prettiest day of the week, and couldn’t wait to have our first Charleston Bridal Session! She totally spoiled us, and gave me such an incredible FIRST Bridal Session in the low country. I honestly don’t know how I’ll top this one in the future!! :)

Katie looked absolutely stunning in her strapless gown with a matching bolero on top! It looked so feminine & romantic – and the whimsy of Katie’s bouquet shape + textures matched the vibes of her style perfectly! I loved that she kept her jewelry simple so that dress full of appliqués, sparkle, and layers could truly shine. 

We had so much fun exploring around her wedding venue, Middleton Place, on such a beautiful day! We only had to deal with wind (23mph wind gusts actually!) and shooting midday in the full heat & sun – and Katie was such a good sport with all of that! She’s so easy to work for, and always up for all my ideas.

 Her friend Sarah came along to help us – which I’m sure was so special since they met in college as roommates for 4 years at the College of Charleston! I bet that felt like a full-circle moment for them!! We enjoyed meeting her and ALL her help that day! (Plus Phillip got lots of good Charleston recs from a local!)

Our time together flew by, and we ended our session with a special visitor in the background! It was an 7-foot ALLIGATOR just chilling on the bank, soaking up the sun! It was WILD seeing one that big in person. I’ve seen them at Middleton before, but only small ones. Phillip was on alligator duty to watch & make sure he didn’t make any sudden movements, haha! 

It was the BEST afternoon walking around this stunning estate with Katie & Sarah, photographing our GORGEOUS bride, and I can’t wait for you to see all my favorites from this beautiful session below!
