Kate & Pat = Family Farm Wedding Day!

Wedding Day  |  Piccola Farm  |  Kate & Pat  |  October 30, 2021

What an absolutely special day Pat & Kate’s wedding was! Kate chose to transform her family’s farm into their wedding venue, and her parents had worked so hard to make her vision come to life. And WOW, it was truly an incredible property and felt like it was MEANT to be a wedding venue all along. 🙂

Phillip and I had been looking forward to Pat & Kate’s wedding not only because we were excited to see the Piccola Farm – but also because their Engagement Session was one of the happiest sessions we’ve EVER photographed (at sunrise no less!) If you missed seeing their beautiful sunrise beach Engagement Session, CLICK HERE! We couldn’t wait to see Kate & Pat again and capture what we hoped would be LOTS of happy smiles. But we didn’t expect the level of sheer JOY they both exuded their entire wedding day, the laughter, the happy tears, and all the meaningful moments with family throughout the day. It was truly incredible!!!!

We started the day meeting all the girls getting glammed by the team of Julie Robbins Makeup and Wedding Hair by Liz. They were all enjoying Starbucks drinks (my kind of girls) eating Jersey Mikes, and lounging in their cute PJs!! Phillip and I photographed all Kate’s details while the girls finished getting ready, and there were so many special elements! The white & gold ring dish is actually from Kate’s childhood tea set, the little welcome bag of treats was for the guests, Pat’s ring has a special inscription inside of it from Kate, and Kate’s bouquet has charms of the special people she’s lost – along with part of her mom’s wedding dress wrapped around the stems!

Kate got ready with her mom Linda – and her mom is a SPECIAL woman! She’s been a huge part of planning Kate’s entire wedding, and after several emails/DMs back and forth I couldn’t wait to meet her in person! Mrs. Linda was soooo precious (I see where Kate gets it!) and the sweet moments of her getting Kate dressed was really special to witness.

A few of my favorite parts of the morning was with Kate’s dad, Tony. Kate and I overheard him seeing her mom for the first time all dressed and he told her how beautiful she looked. Then, during a precious First Look with Kate & her dad, and Mr. Tony said how Linda hasn’t changed in 30 years. It was amazing to witness the relationship and example they are setting for their kids!

The ceremony was absolutely so beautiful (written by Mrs. Linda and officiated by Kate’s brother Michael!) and the way Pat reacted to seeing Kate for the first time was INCREDIBLE. Truly what every bride would hope and dream for when her soon-to-be husband sees her. It was so sweet!!! Pat & Kate wrote their own personal vows, and they BOTH said how when they’re together, they’re “home”.

After the ceremony, Kate & Pat got to peek at their reception design before we started all the formal portraits! I loved that they got to see it before guests were let inside! After a day of all clouds – the SUN started popping in/out for Kate and Pat’s Bride/Groom portraits!!! I was so so happy they got little pops of sunshine – because it just adds so much to the happiness and HUGE SMILES they had! It’s RARE to see a couple show outwardly THIS MUCH pure joyfulness to get married – smiling ear to ear – and laughing together like crazy. Kate and Pat are just an absolute dream to photograph!!! 🙂

The reception kicked off with the most FUN entrance ever – CONFETTI CANNONS when Pat and Kate walked in!!! Couldn’t have been any more perfect seeing Kate’s smile as the confetti rained down!! The guests were treated to amazing food, drinks, music, and tons of desserts! They had cake, cheesecake, and brownies with ice cream! YUM!

Pat and Kate were toasted by their bridal party & family, and Pat’s Best Man came out in costume which had everyone laughing! (It was the night before Halloween after all, haha!) The guests had an awesome time dancing the night away under the tent lights & chandeliers, and then it was time for a sparkler exit down the driveway! After the exit, Kate & Pat were whisked off in their getaway car & the guests were surprised AGAIN with a donut food truck waiting for them, with bags of hot mini donuts, coffee, and hot cocoa! I had 9 donuts myself so I can tell you they were AMAZING!!!! Can all weddings please hire a donut truck? 🙂

What an incredible day, fit for an incredible couple! We had the best day and felt so honored to capture Kate & Pat’s love story and start to their lives together.

I hope you’ll love seeing all my favorite photos below! Enjoy!!!
