It’s always a good day to be back at the Merrimon Wynne House! Kate is such a fun, sarcastic, easy-going bride – so I was really looking forward to photographing her Bridal Session! It never gets old walking up to the Merrimon Wynne and just taking in all of its beauty and grandeur. The landscaping was immaculate, the renovations inside were beautiful, and the soaring ceiling and beautiful chandeliers were just beyond gorgeous. It really does take your breath away! 🙂

Kate came out of the Bridal Suite looking like a vision! Her wedding dress was so pretty – with the modern touches of the torso layers and angles, the structure of the hemline, the tiny belt at her waist, and then the extra long veil with all the appliqués! The dress looked beautiful (AND even comfortable to wear!) on Kate, and seeing her smile when catching a glimpse of herself in the mirror was so special. Kate’s bouquet by Hathaway Floral Design was also very modern – full of white roses and dimension. She chose to wear beaded, fun earrings – and kept her makeup natural with her eyes just popping! 🙂

Her best friend Alysia came to help during the session (she had come to help for Kate’s Engagement Session too, what a good friend!) and she was a HUGE help! Her eye for detail was so good, and we all made a good team to make all the adjustments to make everything perfect! (Side note – we missed you joining in the fun, Mrs. Corrine!!)

Even though it was noon, we had wonderful lighting thanks to an overcast day! It was also 60º, which was incredible for February North Carolina day! So thankful for great weather, since Kate was coming all the way from Georgia for this session! (Her pup, Moose, came to NC with her, and he was spending the day at a doggy day care living his BEST LIFE during his mama’s Bridal Session!)

We had the BEST TIME exploring around the venue with Kate and Alysia, and getting even MORE excited for her wedding day. I have lots of favorite images to share with you below… I hope you’ll LOVE seeing my faves too! ENJOY!
