Hannah Giddens = The Leslie Alford Mims House Bridal Session

Sometimes Plan B can turn out even better than an original plan! We’d planned on photographing Hannah’s Bridal Session outdoors at her wedding venue all along – but after seeing a 70% chance of rain forecasted we came up with a backup plan to use The Mims House instead! It all turned out for the best, because Hannah & her mom fell in LOVE with the venue, and having a completely different look than the wedding day photos is so fun! 🙂

Hannah could literally wear a paper bag and looked gorgeous – but the wedding dress she chose was PERFECT for her. The form-fitting gown showed off her beautiful figure, and I loved all the detailing with the high neck and the gorgeous back of the dress with all the tiny little buttons! She kept her jewelry simple with just her engagement ring & her earrings – which were actually her grandma’s (who passed away in June) How special to not only wear an heirloom piece as her “something blue”, but also feel like her grandma was part of the day?! I loved it!

We got SO lucky because even though it rained on us as we drove to the venue, the rain stopped and we were able to photograph some portraits outdoors after all! The day was overcast & cloudy, so Hannah was flexible to start with an earlier session so we didn’t run out of light! Pollen season also decided to start really bad this morning, so we tried to be really careful outside with sweeping off all the porches and cleaning everything really well! Hannah was really laid-back about it and trusted us – and it made for some beautiful shots!!!!

Hannah made our job SO EASY because she posed so naturally, and even read my mind with posing half the time. She’s so elegant, and her personality is so calming and kind. In fact, after a busy day of running around getting ready – Hannah stopped at Krispy Kreme to bring US a box of doughnuts for a midday treat!!! How wonderfully thoughtful and selfless is that?! We were blown away – and enjoyed eating the doughnuts on the way home! 🙂

Hannah’s sweet mom, Tammy, came along to help us – and I now see where Hannah gets her sweet personality from! Mrs. Tammy was so complimentary of not only Hannah, but as I worked was complementing ME too! It was so so sweet!

I had the best afternoon with Hannah & her mom – it was such a creative relief and just had the most fun with them! I can’t wait for ya’ll to see my favorites below!!! Let me know in the comment section below which portraits are your favorites!!!!
