Union Valley Farm & Vineyard | Bridal Session | Haley Merritt | May 1, 2023
Well it’s safe to say that Haley’s Bridal Session goes down in history as one of my absolute FAVORITES!!! Between Haley’s stunning looks, her fun personality, her Charleston-inspired venue with double porches, and the sunshine – it was seriously perfection! I had been looking forward to her session ever since we photographed her Engagement Session (actually in the REAL Charleston, haha) and I knew she was a natural model & my job would be a breeze! Speaking of breeze, we had 15 mph winds during Haley’s session, yet she was the BEST sport and was super understanding to work around it! 🙂
It was such a happy day, because we also got to see our precious former TLJ Bride, Emily, for the session! Emily drove 3 HOURS to help out with Haley’s session, and was a MASSIVE help to us with making sure everything was perfect. At one point, she even hid BEHIND Haley, holding the veil so we could get “the shot”!
Haley looked absolutely RADIANT as a bride. She wore a custom dress – made with two pieces, a detachable skirt made from a different designer that was actually the bottom of the FIRST dress Haley ever tried on!!! Haley customized the entire dress, adding slits to both, customizing the entire back, and just making it “Haley”! I love how unique her whole look is!!! Haley’s glam was impeccable and the soft hollywood waves were just so feminine and beautiful on her. Ughhhh just SO SO GOOD!!!
We also got to meet Haley’s sweet mom, Elaine, who gave us a whole tour of the property while Haley was finishing with her glam! It was so great to finally meet her. Elaine hadn’t seen Haley’s entire look yet, so Haley decided to do a spontaneous First Look with her mom as we were starting the Bridal Session, which was so special!!!
I had the absolute BEST TIME photographing Haley, and could have kept photographing her all night long, if we didn’t run out of light! It was just the most fun afternoon. We loved catching up with her – talking about international travel, graduation, and reminiscing on all of Emily’s wedding festivities that we spent together!
Haley is so sweet that she surprised us with a whole box of famous Burney’s glazed croissants when she heard another Elizabetown couple (Morgan & Will) had got us some at their session & how much we loved them. They made for a delicious treat for our long drive home! Thank you so much again, Haley!!!
I have SO MANY FAVORITES to share with you below! I can’t wait to hear which ones are YOUR favorites!! Enjoy!
