Ashley Beaman = Bridal Session Two

What a GORGEOUS bride Ashley is! I told her that she could literally wear a paper bag on her wedding day and look stunning. This was actually our SECOND Bridal Session together – so posing came really naturally to her and she ROCKED her session like a pro! (Yes, our SECOND SESSION!) 🙂

So here’s the backstory…

Ashley and my bride Claire (who got married in June) are friends who’ve grown up dancing together. They were getting married 3 months from each other, and I’m the photographer for both of their weddings! We photographed their Bridal Sessions close together, and Ashley & Claire decided to share photos with each other & help pick which ones to choose as their final “Bridal Portrait”. When they swapped photos… they realized THEY HAD CHOSEN THE SAME DRESS!!!!

I’m telling you… this dress was very unique! It’s not your average dress – so when both Claire and Ashley realized they’d chosen the SAME DRESS they were floored!!!!

Claire’s wedding came first in June, and it was actually the FIRST and ONLY wedding that Ashley’s fiancé, Landon, had ever attended. Ashley decided that she wanted Claire to have her special moment and enjoy being in her beautiful dress with it being unique just to Claire. So… Ashley so unselfishly went back to Coastal Knot and CHOSE A DIFFERENT DRESS. It was sweet of her to let Claire have her moment, and also really special that Ashley will now have HER own dress that’s unique to her!

Being that Landon has only been to 1 other wedding (Claire’s!), it’s special that he won’t be seeing the same dress on his wife too!  So, we got the special opportunity to photograph Ashley’s Bridal Session AGAIN, this time in her new wedding dress!!! We tried to do our best to re-create her first Bridal Session because she loved those photos so much. It was 3 months later, so of course the landscape had changed, and August 6^th was a VERY HOT and HUMID day, and Ashley was a trooper!!!! Then out of nowhere, RAIN started during our session! We improvised and went under a porch & overhangs during the heaviest  parts of the rain, but Ashley was INCREDIBLE to pose WHILE IT WAS RAINING to get the shots. We even had to re-curl her hair a few times, but she was great!!!

I’m so glad she was willing to pose in the rain, because the last pose we did to wrap the session, REALLY HARD RAIN started pouring down. Rain so hard that there’s no way we could have kept shooting!
