Ray Family Farms | Wedding Day | Amber & Douglas | April 23, 2022
Douglas & Amber’s wedding day was so laid-back, sweet, and fun – thanks to their easy-going personalities. It’s so easy to celebrate a couple who are just “go-with-the-flow” on their wedding day, and that’s exactly how Douglas and Amber were!!! That’s a photographer’s dream! 🙂
Side note – if you missed seeing their gorgeous field Engagement Session as the storms rolled in – click HERE! I also just posted Amber’s Rose Hill Bridal Session sneak peek, so click HERE if you missed it!
We had a warm, sunny day for their wedding at Ray Family Farms. The girls were upstairs getting all glammed up in their comfy silk pajama sets, and the guys were just hanging out on the farm relaxing! The bridesmaids were all so sweet and helpful, and I really enjoyed my morning with them!! 🙂
Douglas & Amber’s style was elegant & boho mixed together – so I loved using the textures of pampas grass in their detail photos to incorporate that “boho” feel! Amber also chose to have bouquets & boutonnières of just greenery – which is really trendy right now too.
Before the ceremony, Amber & Douglas chose to have a “First Touch”, which means they could talk & hold hands – but not see each other! They wrote personalized vows, and privately read them to each other before the ceremony. It was such a sweet moment!
After the ceremony we photographed all their portraits – and the venue has so many unique places to take photos! My favorite spot is with the sunlight peeking though and under the trees. It’s such a romantic spot, and I just LOVE how those Bride & Groom portraits turned out!
The reception kicked off with a delicious spread of southern BBQ by Strickland Farms Catering, the cutest trailer converted into a bar, Rolling Tavern, a huge table full of mini desserts (and of course CAKE!) by Betts Kitchen, music and dancing provided by Impultz DJ, and the beautiful reception décor by Timothy Bryant. It was a beautiful night!!! Some of my favorite moments was Amber dancing with her family, especially her brother – he brought the laughter and party for sure!)
At the end of the night, Amber and Douglas exited through a tunnel of sparklers! It was such a beautiful way to end the evening. Then after Phillip and I packed up and were walking to our car, Amber came literally running after us – she had a sweet card for us – plus a HANDMADE beautiful candle she’d poured. (Her candle company is Country Stone Candle Co. and is on Etsy!) How precious is that?! They are just so thoughtful and kind. 🙂
I can’t WAIT for ya’ll to see all our favorites on the blog below. Comment which ones are YOUR favorites!!!! 🙂
