Newborn Session | Stella Ann | January 22nd, 2024
This at-home Newborn Session was extra special – because it’s of my niece! My youngest sister Angela & her husband Cameron just became parents last month to the most beautiful baby girl, Stella Ann, on January 17th! So of course she had TWO photoshoots within 5 days of birth, haha! One session was just of Stella for announcement photos (since I wasn’t allowed at the hospital due to guest limits) and the second session was their actual Newborn Session as a whole family! (Oh also, if you missed seeing Angela’s Maternity Session, click HERE to view it!)
(Also a fun little side note – one of our TLJ Brides, Lauren, was working her nursing shift the night Angela was admitted & realized Angela was my sister! She tried to get Angela a good room for delivery, and it was just the sweetest that Lauren looked out for Angela!)
In Latin, the name Stella means “star of the sea” – so with Angela & Cameron’s love of the sky and water, it was a perfect fit. She’s our little star!!! Her middle name “Ann” is after BOTH of their grandmothers, who shared the same middle name! How special is that?! 🙂
Angela allowed me to help her shop for nursery pieces which was so fun for me! We spent months sending links back and forth for cribs, curtains, looking all over eastern NC for rugs, adding antique brass hooks, gold doorknobs & a switch plate, and adding special touches to pull it all together! The 2 wooden furniture pieces are antiques2 from Cameron’s family, and the two white pillows are handmade by my mom! The floral compote was designed by me. <3
Due to the angle of the sun, we had to start the session at 7:30am, (yikes) so Angela & Cameron were TROOPERS to start that early after running on zero sleep. Stella was just 5 days old, so it was wonderful to photograph her within that first week of life. The session was absolutely STUNNING – and I was such a proud sister seeing Angela be a patient, amazing mama during our sessions!
I love you so much, Stella Ann, and can’t wait to see the incredible things you do in life! Love, Aunt TT 🙂
You’re the absolute BEST!!! Most patient & creative photographer!we love you Aunt TT!
