Savannah + Shane = Wedding Day!

It’s not often that we get the honor of photographing a wedding in our hometown – much less a wedding at the SAME venue we got married at almost 6 years ago!! So right off the bat, Savannah and Shane’s wedding was special to us! Even better, the church they got married in is the SAME church Savannah’s parents got married in 20+ years ago. How amazing is that?!

We kicked off the day photographing the reception at the Bluegrass Barn! They had a huge white tent, full of greenery, farm tables, chandeliers, and the cutest black/white checkered dance floor. It looked so beautiful!

Next, we headed out to the church, where the bridal parties were getting ready! The ladies were in GREAT hands with Jade (of Jade Marion Hair) and Ashley (Beauty by Ashley Prins) and we started photographing all Savannah’s pretty little details  – I especially loved photographing the invitation suite that I got to design! Savannah spoiled us with lots of extras to use – ribbon, ring box, and flowers!

The ceremony was so beautiful. I loved the sanctuary with the extra long aisle, and the unity cross that Savannah’s grandfather made. It was so sweet to see not only Shane tear up as his bride walked down the aisle, but HIS DAD tearing up too!!!! So precious!

One of my favorite things about their day was recreating a wedding photo of Savannah’s parents on their wedding day at the same church! Mrs. Mandy thought of it spontaneously, and thankfully Savannah remembered the exact pose to re-create! How precious is that?!

The reception kicked off with a bang – tons of food stations, the cutest mobile bar (Brewmasters) a photobooth (Impultz Entertainment – Brad Perkins) a delicious cake and cookies, toasts, and lots of dancing! (thanks to DJ Slammin’ – Brad Perkins)

For their exit, Savannah and Shane chose a gold confetti exit!!! It was so unique and looked so celebratory – it’s always fun to try something new!
