Oakland Farm Wedding Day | Rebecca + Jacob | June 8, 2019
As we hugged Becca + Jacob goodbye at the end of their beautiful wedding day, we said that we wished EVERY Saturday was their wedding over and over again! Every single part of their wedding day was full of JOY, kindness, love, and beauty, and it made my heart so happy!!!
From the moment we arrived to the girl’s cottage, all the bridesmaids were SO complimentary to us, really sweet and helpful. They pumped me up and made me feel so loved!!! Then sweet Becca was offering us food and drinks immediately, ON HER WEDDING DAY!!!! It was a blast being with those precious ladies as they were hanging out and getting glammed up!
The whole day was forecasting TONS of RAIN, so we were praying for the rain to hold off long enough to get outdoor photos for Becca and Jacob. Thankfully, because all the vendors were on time and prompt, we sped through the timeline, and finished things early enough to make a decision to shoot as MANY portraits before the ceremony as possible before the downpour came!!! God blessed them with holding off the rain long enough for their Bride & Groom portraits to be photographed outdoors!! So thankful!!
Rebecca had a first look with her bridesmaids, one with her daddy, and then a final First Look with Jacob. They held back the tears as they hugged, and when I asked Jacob what he thought of Rebecca’s dress, he sweetly said, “She could be in a sweatshirt today and I’d still think she’s beautiful!!” – oh my goodness, he is sooooo precious I started tearing up!!!!
Before the ceremony, the bridesmaids prayed over Becca and her marriage to Jacob. Their ceremony was personal and so special since it’s the same sanctuary her parents said their vows in as well. What a wonderful memory for their families!
After the ceremony, it was a DOWNPOUR outside, so once again, we were so blessed and thankful to have taken all our photos before the ceremony OUTSIDE!!! What a gift!!!!
The reception kicked off with a bang!!! Tons of delicious food, a snack bar, a lounge area, a cookie bar, drinks flowing, wedding cake, and dancing! MORE guests were on the dancefloor all night than we’d EVER seen!!! Jacob and Becca spoiled their guests with a wonderful evening, and it was such a fun night!
They ended the day with running through a tunnel of sparklers, and kicked off their marriage with a honeymoon in St. Lucia!!!
We LOVE these two so much, and can’t WAIT for you to see all our favorite photos from their beautiful day!
