Randi & Ben = Field Engagement Session!

We photographed Randi’s Bridal Session a few weeks ago, and ever since then I was SO excited to photograph her again – plus photograph Ben for the first time! Photographing someone else who works in the media sphere was such an honor for us, and we loved photographing Randi and Ben together! It was so cool to see Ben’s “directing” side come out with posing, and his attention to detail as we worked together!!! (Check out his very impressive Raleigh-based company, 9 Miles Media, for all your video needs for marketing & advertising!!)

I was eyeing the weather all week for Ben & Randi’s Engagement Session, and it was forecasting really strong chances for thunderstorms! Even a few hours before our session started – my weather app said an 83% chance of rain (cue me panicking, all while Phillip was calm and confident we’d have no rain, haha) BUT we decided to just go for it & embrace whatever weather we got!! After lots of prayer (thanks mom for praying too) and scooting up our session for better light – we got sooooo blessed with only a little shower at the start of our session & then it was dry the rest of our session! YAY!!!

These two were such good sports – walking through uneven weedy fields, running in 4” heels, and being up for all my posing ideas! We also got the pleasure of meeting Randi’s 10-year old pup, Ruby, and she was the star of the show for a bit! She was a very patient girl to pose for my photos & her new haircut looked so pretty!!! Speaking of hair – our talented former TLJ Bride Karey Foushee Nicholson (Beauty by Karey) was Randi’s hair and makeup artist for this session! Karey did a beautiful job as always!!! Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Karey!!!

We had such a fun evening with Randi & Ben – and are already excited for their Highgrove Estate wedding day that’s only 21 days away from this session! Time will fly by SO FAST!!!
