Randi & Ben = Colorful Highgrove Estate Wedding Day!

What a HAPPY day this was! When a bride & groom are relaxed, excited, and just happy – it makes an entire wedding day a JOY to photograph!!! Randi from the very start was just beaming, squealing, and cheering! Just such a fun bride! Ben was the same way – so pumped, and made things so easy & even came up with ideas of his own! 🙂

We were spoiled with SO many amazing blooms from Flowers on Broad Street for details, and had an amazing time photographing all those vivid colors! We rarely photograph such bright colors, and it was the best time for me styling & photographing that color palette! Are these not incredible?!

The girls were enjoying the morning hanging out in the beauty bus getting glam (thanks to Beauty by Karey & team – also a former TLJ Bride! Click HERE to see Karey’s wedding blog!) and Randi’s bridesmaids had me laughing – they were HILARIOUS. (Also, if her MOH looks familiar, Taylor is also a TLJ Bride! Click HERE for her wedding blog!) In fact, we had FIVE TLJ Brides at the wedding – Allie & Kevin were working the wedding for Highgrove (click HERE for her Highgrove wedding blog), and Caroline was a guest at the wedding (click HERE for her and Daniel’s, who was a groomsmen in this wedding, beautiful wedding blog!) It was like a BIG REUNION for us with FIVE of our brides, and THREE of our grooms there! 🙂

Everyone was such great troopers in this NC heat. No one complained, and they all were so gracious and upbeat about everything! We had a very HOT (98º to be exact, with 0 breeze) summer day, but thankfully NO rain!!! Then even better – just as the ceremony started, the sun went behind some clouds so it wasn’t as scorching hot on the AstroTurf as it could have been for everyone. How awesome is that?!

The ceremony was extra special because Randi’s dad, Chris, officiated the wedding. He was so emotional giving away his girl, so having a First Look with him before the ceremony was their private time together! So sweet!

We photographed tons of beautiful portraits after the ceremony, and I had a wonderful time photographing Ben and Randi! The lighting was perfect to take advantage of the front porch! The reception kicked off with a beautifully choreographed First Dance, a delicious plated dinner, sweet toasts, cake AND a bananas foster station, and lots of dancing! All their guests had the BEST time!

After a PERFECT day, Ben and Randi exited out through a tunnel of sparklers to Ben’s fire truck (yes, he OWNS the fire truck, and is a Captain of volunteer firefighters!) Ben thanked everyone for coming, and they rode off with sirens blaring into the night!

It was such a great way to end a happy day!!! We are sooooo thankful to have been part of your day, Ben and Randi! That being said, I have a TON of favorite photos to share with ya’ll below! I hope you ENJOY!!!
