Payton + Shane = Engagement Session!

Engagement Session | Payton & Shane | May 16th, 2017

Third time’s the charm for us!! Payton and I had been nailed down their session location MONTHS ago, but then hurricane-like rain happened, and our first location was washed out. Of course, Phillip went to scout our backup location, and it was washed out too!!!!! Thankfully, we found a THIRD location, with the mix of rustic charm and near the water like Payton & Shane had hoped for!

It was unseasonably HOT for our session – and we were literally sweating the second we stepped out of our cars. Payton still looked beautiful (she did her OWN makeup – and she has the BEST SKIN too, I was totally jealous noticing that while editing) and Shane was a trooper in long pants/long sleeve shirts!

The evening of our session was our first time officially meeting – and most people would have tons of nerves! But Shane and Payton relaxed, focused on each other, and seriously laughed much together!!!! I loved seeing their happy connection.

When we walked down to the water, there was a big sign warning about SNAKES!!!! All my couples know how SCARED TO DEATH I am about any type/size/kind of snakes….so not surprisingly, I was a little on guard the whole time near the water. [Okay, I was pretty freaked out] Thankfully, all the snakes stayed hidden and I never saw one!

Another unusal part of the session was when I saw Payton’s RING for the first time. Shane had it custom made – combining 3 styles of rings that she liked. It was SO different, I’ve NEVER seen a ring exactly like it. The twists on the sides of the ring, and the little diamond on the inside of the ring is really beautiful. GREAT JOB, Shane!!!!!
