Nicole + Jon = WEDDING DAY!

Ya’ll, there is so much beauty in Nicole and Jon’s wedding day, that this blog post can barely contain all of it! Starting with their precious love story – Jon and Nicole have been dating since meeting on spring break in 2011, dated long distance, moved in, bought a house, had their adorable son Thomas, got engaged, and now are MARRIED!

We arrived at the beautiful Merrimon Wynne house, and upstairs was the hustle and bustle of WINK Hair + Makeup glamming all the ladies! Nicole and her bridesmaids were hanging out in floral robes, while the guys were upstairs getting ready with little Thomas!

After Nicole got into her dress, Thomas ran into the iconic Bridal Suite to give her a hug, and then Nicole had a sweet First Look with her dad. Nicole’s dad (also Thomas!) said that he actually got to help Nicole pick out her wedding dress! They hopped onto a train into NYC, and picked out her dress together at Kleinfield’s. I just thought that was such a precious memory they made together!!!!

I LOVED all the bridesmaids dresses, each one unique – and they photographed beautifully on Merrimon Wynne’s porches. Nicole and Jon had a moment together before the ceremony, exchanging gifts and letters… during which Nicole KNOCKED IT OUT of the park by giving Jon a “dundie” trophy (for those Office watchers) and he laughed so hard!

Their ceremony was outdoors under a flowered arbor, and as it was finishing, storm clouds were rolling in, and it was getting dark!!! We made an executive decision to switch the order of portraits to try and get some done outside before the storm hit! As we were shooting Bride + Groom portraits, it started raining on us! So we moved to the porch, and finished portraits there! Thankfully, Jon and Nicole were great sports and went with the flow!

The reception inside the carriage house looked so pretty (thanks to Folie a Deux), and I LOVED all the different linens and place settings they chose! It was a fun night of delicious food (by Beau Catering) yummy cake and cupcakes (thanks to Cupcake Shoppe), ice cream (Two Rooster’s ice cream truck!) and dancing (shoutout to Frank at Bunn DJ Co!) and everything pulled off seamlessly thanks to Whitney Davis (of C&D Events!)
