Morgan + Griffin = WEDDING DAY!

It takes an incredible amount of time, planning, and implementing to take a piece of hunting property and turn it into a WEDDING VENUE. Morgan and Griffin’s idea of using his family’s property to create their dream wedding was lofty, but BOY did they pull it off!!!

We had a beautiful sunny day with a breeze, and as Phillip and I drove down the winding driveway we first saw the huge oak tree serving as the ceremony location, and the BIGGEST white tent we’ve seen in our lives for the reception! The Williford’s “hunting lodge” served as the girls getting-ready areas, and it was spacious enough for all the ladies and vendors!!!

It was a fun morning of hair/makeup prep, champagne toasts, sweet tears during First Looks, letters and gifts, and Morgan incorporating animals whenever she could! One of my favorite parts of the morning was Bill [Bill Hamilton Designs] surprising Morgan with her finished reception space florals. Her face LIT UP and her jaw DROPPED as she saw the area with the TALLEST centerpieces I’ve ever seen.

The ceremony was beautiful with the sun pouring through the leaves of the oak tree, as Griffin and Morgan said their vows beneath. Brooke [Salty Girl Designs] was doing a live painting of the ceremony, and it was so fun to watch her preserve that moment in time!!!

We found a perfect spot with pretty light in a back field, and did all the Bride and Groom portraits in that area! It was fun to photograph Morgan and Griffin for the first time, since we didn’t shoot their Engagement or Bridal Sessions!!!

The reception kicked off immediately, with Funky Fresh Food truck serving up tons of tacos, Brewmasters pouring up beer & wine, and Magnolia Grove Events passing out tons of glow sticks!!!! Another Level Band got the party started and the ENTIRE guest list was on the dance floor for the rest of the night having a blast!!!!

The perfect way to end the day was with a gorgeous sunset, and Griffin driving his Grandfather’s SPC truck down a tunnel of glow sticks!
