Megan & Grey = Barn at Broadslab Wedding Day!

The Barn at Broadslab Wedding Day  |  Megan & Grey  |  April 5, 2025

We’ve been looking forward to Megan & Grey’s wedding day for so long – and it didn’t disappoint! I tried to count how many times we’ve photographed this sweet Adams family, and I think wedding day counts as 8 times over the last 10+ years! We even had the honor of photographing Megan’s Senior Portraits back in the day, and see her come full circle to now being the BRIDE!!!

We had a beautiful (but warm!) 85º April day, with pops of sunshine that I loved – and a slight breeze to help with that unexpected hot day!!! When we pulled up to the venue, Megan was already knocking on the bridal suite window and waving at us! She’s the cutest!!! We started off the morning photographing all of her beautiful details (I loved her invitation suite and was so spoiled with all her fun pieces to photograph!) and got to hang out with her sweet bridesmaids. Megan & her precious mom, Kim surprised ME with my two favorite drinks in the fridge for me to have AND a present!!! They are literally the most thoughtful and generous people to surprise US on THEIR special day. Wow!!!

Megan was so relaxed and fun all day. It made me so happy to see her having fun and just ENJOYING her day! She had First Looks with her bridesmaids, her daddy, her niece + nephew, and then with Grey! We went straight into Bride & Groom portraits & they were great sports in the 1:30pm heat!!! They had chosen to knock out ALL their portraits pre-ceremony, so they could really enjoy time with guests afterwards.

The ceremony was SO stunning at the pond, with an over-the-top floral design on the gazebo (shoutout to Brushed by Bec!) and Grey seeing Megan come down the aisle (even after doing a First Look!) he teared up and was emotional in that special moment! It was sooooo precious!! After the ceremony, they got to hangout with their guests & enjoy cocktail hour on the patio. The reception design was SOOO GORGEOUS with all heirloom chinoiserie vases from their family on the tables. I loved the varying heights and colors – and of course the beautiful sweetheart table with all the florals! The multiple cakes on the cake table was so unique and I also loved that idea a lot (bonus that the chocolate cake I tried was SO YUMMY) :)

The reception kicked off with dinner, drinks, and dancing! We snuck out for a few more photos as the sun set, and then Megan did an outfit change & they enjoyed the rest of the night!! The reception ended with a tunnel of sparklers. It was such a beautiful way to end a happy day!!! :)

I have SO MANY favorite photos to share with ya’ll below! I hope you enjoy seeing my favorites! Thank you so much again to the Adams/Powell families for allowing us to be a part of so many of your lives special moments over the last DECADE – it has truly been an honor and a blessing!! We love you all!!
