Hayes Barton UMC Wedding Day | Lindsey & Daniel | March 27, 2021
We were SO excited to celebrate Lindsey and Daniel’s wedding day! After getting engaged at the start of the pandemic, their wedding plans have been changed and modified too many times to count. Yet through the whole planning process, they’ve kept great attitudes and still wanted to have a special, meaningful day even if the guest count was intimate! 🙂
It was even MORE of an honor to be Lindsey & Daniel’s photographers, because we photographed her sister’s wedding (at the same church!) several years ago! The whole Jennings family is SO precious and the most kind people! (Click HERE to see her sister Courtney’s wedding!)
The day started off with the girls relaxing at their Airbnb getting hair and makeup done, eating lunch, and enjoying hanging out together! I got to photograph all her details while they were glamming, and it was so fun because I ALSO designed her invitation suite! So neat to design it, and then get to photograph the suite! After getting glam, we took photos of Lindsey & her beautiful bridesmaids together under the most MAGICAL flowering tree, and it was just stunning! I was squealing with happiness!
The ceremony was extra special, because it took place in the church that Lindsey’s sister AND mom got married in, and her grandfather also was a pastor there. Her sweet grandfather Kermit also married them, which was so meaningful! Lindsey is a teacher, and since her ceremony guest list was so small she couldn’t invite her little ones. Instead, the church streamed the ceremony and Lindsey gave her children special invitations to the live stream, along with little goodies and wedding-themed coloring pages. SO SWEET!!!
During the ceremony, we were under a threat of tornados, and it was torrentially downpouring, hailing, and SCARY. The second the ceremony ended, Phillip sprinted outside to check on the weather, and we had a 7 minute gap of just light rain rather than more downpours. As Daniel & Lindsey exited the ceremony, we whisked them outside IN THE RAIN to take a few bride/groom portraits! They were SUCH good sports going with the flow, getting rained on – because we didn’t know if it would be our ONLY opportunity for outdoor photos! In fact, we got ALL their outdoor photos done in just SIX MINUTES from start to finish!!! Talk about a whirlwind!!!!
Thankfully the rain died down by the time we drove to Clayton, and we took a few more portraits in the cutest little alleyway with string lights! The reception was kicked off with mini pancake stacks, a coffee bar with custom mugs… and tons of breakfast foods! Lindsey and Daniel are so kind that they put Phillip and I at our OWN table, and treated us to a delicious dinner! It was such a special, beautiful wedding and we are SO THANKFUL to have this amazing couple (and the whole Jennings family!) in our lives! 🙂
I’m pumped to share my favorite photos from Daniel & Lindsey’s day below. ENJOY!!!!
