Rose Hill Estate Wedding Day | Lauren & Adam | October 6, 2023
YAY for being back at our favorite venue! We were so excited for Lauren & Adam’s big day – they are so laid-back and we knew it would be a great day with them!
We had an unusually warm October day – but the rain held off even though it softly sprinkled and dark gray clouds threatened to pour! It never actually rained and we were so thankful!!!
We started off the morning photographing beautiful details while the ladies got glam by WINK! Lauren had done SO many “DIY” projects for the wedding, and that beautiful walnut ring box was one of the things she MADE! Lauren even made each groomsman a stunning heirloom jewelry box, Adam made them coasters, and they even made US a gorgeous charcuterie board! We were blown away by their thoughtfulness and generosity towards everyone! 🙂
It was so fun to meet Lauren’s bridesmaids (3 of whom are sisters – which I always loveee sister interactions since I have 2 of my own!) and of course spend more time with her sweet mom & dad! It was a great morning! I just LOVE Lauren’s wedding dress, and I was excited to photograph her in it again! Adam and Lauren had a sweet First Look, and we photographed their Bride & Groom portraits right after! They both were so emotional seeing each other, and it was really sweet.
Adam & Lauren had built their timeline around just wanting to spend time with family & friends, and it really made for a nice day not having to jump from thing to thing so quickly! They were able to really enjoy their day. Their ceremony was officiated by Adam’s uncle, which was really special & he made it personal. The was Adam teared up when Lauren walked down the aisle (even AFTER a First Look and photos together!) is what girls DREAM OF! Wow!!!! The ceremony was in front of the Manor house – and Lauren made not only the 4 aisle floral arrangements, but also they MADE the two floral “pillars” too! I was absolutely blown away – it was soooo gorgeous!
Adam and Lauren opted for a long cocktail hour to join, since we had done photos pre-ceremony! They spoiled their guests with sliders, Mac & cheese bar, charcuterie, and so much yummy food!! It was great seeing them relax and enjoy their guests.
The reception was beautiful! Adam and Lauren bought all the brass candlesticks from different antique stores, and most of the decor shown was also purchased and designed by them! Even the mirror welcome sign & greenery wall! They did an incredible job on their “DIY” – who would have guessed?!
They had more delicious food, toasts (we were ALL in tears), dancing, lots of desserts, dug up their bourbon, and then a sparkler exit! It was such a happy way to end their day.
I can’t wait for you to see all my favorites from their big day below. ENJOY!!
