Rose Hill Plantation | Maternity Session | Katherine & Thomas | May 31, 2017
Little did I know photographing Katherine’s [masters] graduation portraits at ECU, that a few years later I’d also be photographing her Maternity Session! Whenever our past clients reach out for super special sessions as their lives change and family grows, we’re SO honored!!!
Thomas and Katherine originally wanted a wildflower field as their location – but after HOURS of driving around several towns, Phillip and I realized that all the flowers had peaked too early this year, and we’d have to find a backup location. Katherine was SO wonderful through the switch, and we ended up at one of our FAVORITE venues – Rose Hill Plantation.
Even though the sunshine ducked behind the clouds when we got there – we had NO rain, and the temperature was perfect. It was so nice!!
Katherine stepped out of their truck looking absolutely STUNNING. She was absolutely GLOWING, and her makeup and hair was done perfectly. Her dress was flowy, and super feminine, and I LOVED the contrast with her nude heels. I was SO excited when I saw her outfit.
Thomas told us he was a goofball during their Engagement Session – so I fully expected that for their Maternity Session. BUT he was amazing with kissing Katherine’s shoulder [completely unposed – I almost melted] and making her laugh when she was in his arms. It was the cutest!!!
We had the best time with these two, and can’t WAIT for little Libby to be born SOON!!! Here are a few of our favorite images from our time together!
