Wedding Day | Katherine & Bryan | November 13, 2021
After almost *exactly* 7 years of dating (November 15th is their actual anniversary) Katherine & Bryan got married!!! We had the pleasure of meeting them at Katherine’s sister’s wedding 3 years ago. (Click HERE if you missed seeing Mary Taylor & Taylor’s wedding!) Mary Taylor actually reached out to us BEFORE her sister was even engaged (secretly of course) to make sure we’d have 2021 availability to photograph Katherine’s wedding!!!! Thankfully we did, and we’ve been looking forward to Katherine’s wedding for almost TWO full years now!!! 🙂
Katherine & Bryan told us from day one their vision for their wedding day. It was not going to be a massive wedding with all the focus on them – in fact they wanted to plan things very simply so it would be stress-free and an enjoyable day with the people they loved most. They both decided not to have bridal parties, and wanted to take as much attention off the two of them as possible so they could relax & enjoy the day!
Even though Katherine didn’t have a true “bridal party” – Katherine, her family, and closest friends still got hair/makeup done together, jammed out to music, and enjoyed a beautiful spread of food and a fruity drink bar! It was SO special to see all of Katherine’s family again and give everyone hugs. Even more special was the location Katherine chose – a stunning home located right next door to her childhood home. (Scroll down to see a few photos we took in front of Katherine’s old house that was next door!)
After getting glam, Katherine chose to have a First Look with her twin brother, Curt. It was soooooo sweet to see them share an emotional moment, and they even did a secret handshake at the end. What a precious brother!!!
Bryan and Katherine chose to have a First Look and take ALL their photos pre-ceremony, so he arrived next! They were so excited to see each other, and were laughing and joking almost immediately. 🙂
We had the best time photographing them on the beautiful property downtown Laurinburg, and Phillip enjoyed sneaking in as much baseball talk with Bryan as he could in between posing, haha!
Everyone headed to the church, and we photographed all their family portraits ahead of time. What a nice feeling for Katherine & Bryan to know all the major portraits were DONE!
The ceremony was absolutely special. Curt walked Katherine down the aisle, and Katherine’s bouquet held a charm with a photo of their dad – so he was there with her too. Rev. Hudson preformed a beautiful ceremony service, weaving in some absolutely emotional but very meaningful thoughts about Katherine’s dad. It had everyone in tears, and I know her dad was looking down on them with a smile. To use a baseball term, Rev. Hudson “Knocked it out of the park!” Mary Taylor said it was the most beautiful ceremony she’d ever been to.
Everyone headed downtown Laurinburg for an outdoor cocktail hour next to a colorful mural and under twinkling lights. Next, all their guests were treated to a buffet, drinks, cake (that AMAZING cake deserves a moment all for itself – it was a showstopper!!!) and enjoyed lots of dancing thanks to All Events DJ!!!
Katherine & Bryan had a sparkler exit and it was beautiful! What an amazing day for Katherine & Bryan – and we were SO HONORED to be a part of it!!!!
I can’t wait for ya’ll to see my favorites below. ENJOY!!!!! 🙂
