Ya’ll…. I am just SO EXCITED for you to hear about Katelyn & Jordan’s wedding and see some of my favorite photos from their day!!! Katelyn literally LIGHTS UP a room when she walks in, and Jordan’s easy smile, kind heart, and happy nature just compliments Katelyn perfectly. We knew their day would be so full of love, such a happy day, and I was REALLY looking forward to it!!! 🙂

Jordan & Katelyn’s wedding was our FIRST at Walnut Hill. We were pumped for the challenge to shoot somewhere NEW and see what magic we could make! Thankfully, we had a beautifully sunny day – but ya’ll it was HOT. Like, REALLY HOT. Most people would complain about being outside in the NC summertime in 100 degrees… but no one complained the whole day. Literally NO ONE. Not the girls trying to keep their makeup intact in the heat, not the guys in black tuxes – not even Katelyn & Jordan who took the bulk of their photos before the ceremony in midday heat. Everyone was INCREDIBLE, and so so kind.

The girls looked adorable in their blue/white floral pjs getting pampered by Reverie Co. and relaxing. I had an amazing time photographing Katelyn’s details while they were getting ready – and especially loved that floral envelope liner!

Katelyn (per usual) looked STUNNING in her wedding dress. Her veil was custom – using part of her mom’s veil with the lace from her mom’s wedding dress sewn to the edges. I thought it was super special. Not only did Katelyn have a First Look with her bridesmaids and her dad, but she also planned one with her grandparents! I LOVED that precious moment as she told them “not to peek!” And they opened their eyes and just “oohed and ahhed” over their beautiful granddaughter! So cute!!! 🙂

Katelyn & Jordan opted to have a First Look, and they were precious. The sweetest, happiest couple – and smiling ear to ear seeing each other!!!! They are just the cutest!

Their ceremony took place near the pond, and it was really sweet. All the guests were great sports in the heat too! The reception kicked off with a bang – thanks to amazing food by Funky Fresh catering, yummy cake, music by Fantasy Band – and guests who came ready to PARTY! Jordan and Katelyn snuck back outside for some sunset portraits, and these are extra special because Katelyn’s reception look with the big bow on the back really shows! I LOVED the back of her dress, and how we decided to let it shine in this set of photos!!!

The reception was SO MUCH FUN! Sooooo many people never even left the dance floor. Lighted tambourines added some extra fun, and everyone just had a great time.

Katelyn’s flower girl goes down in TLJ History as one of our favorites ever!!! She was PRECIOUS, so patient, such a good listener, and took her job seriously! Emmaline was so proud (and plus how cute is she?) One of my highlights of the reception was seeing Emmaline dance with HER daddy almost the entire night long, and all I could envision was 20 years down the road her doing that with her daddy as a bride!

What a PERFECT DAY (okay maybe a TAD too hot? haha) Jordan and Katelyn had. Their families were incredible, their bridal party was incredible – everything was just SUCH perfection. What a dream!!!!
