Kate & Matt = Garden Engagement Session!

After having to reschedule Kate & Matt’s Engagement Session from March to August due to bad weather – we were so excited to finally photograph them! Then, the weather was forecasting RAIN again (ugh!) – but we made the decision to shoot no matter what, since they live in Georgia and had already driven 7 hours to NC! When we left Wilson for our session, it was pouring rain, lightening, and thundering – but after many prayers the skies cleared by the time we got to Wake Forest AND we even got pops of sunshine!!! It was perfect!!! (Well to be honest… it wasn’t exactly “perfect” since it was SO HOT… but at least no rain!!! Haha!)

Matt and Kate are so hilarious together! They are funny, sarcastic, playful, and even seem to have their own language. They don’t take themselves too seriously, and look like they just have FUN together! We loved finally getting to meet Matt in person, and he was a SAINT for posing sweetly for photos in the awful NC humidity and heat for us – ESPECIALLY in a full suit!!!! Matt was amazing for that!! 🙂

We also got to meet Kate’s sweet mom, Corrine, and she came in clutch with driving them around in the AC so they could try to cool off. Kate’s best friend, Alysia, came along to help and brought her precious little puppy Bodie!!! Phillip was immediately in love (and very distracted!)

Kate looked so pretty in both her dresses – and her brother’s girlfriend (a hairdresser) curled her hair for her and it looked stunning. My favorite part of her second outfit (in the white dress) were her earrings! They were actually her mom’s WEDDING earrings!!! They look so unique and I immediately loved them. The gold bracelet Kate was wearing was her grandmas, so I love that 3 generations of women were represented in Kate’s style!! 🙂

It was a fun (and sweaty) afternoon with this fun crowd! I have so many favorites to share with ya’ll below & can’t wait for you to love them too! ENJOY!!!
