The Dean Plantation | Amy & Matt | September 17th, 2016
Amy had been waiting a LONG time for Matt. She didn’t settle for just ANY guy – she waited patiently for the RIGHT guy to come into her life, and knew early on in their relationship that he was going to be THE ONE. I love how independent and strong of a woman she is just from doing life before she found Matt. While we waited for her horse-drawn carriage to arrive for the ceremony, Amy told me how Matt balances her perfectly, and is that calming force in her life.
We had a BEAUTIFUL (okay, maybe just a TAD warm) Saturday for their wedding at Dean Plantation. The bridal suite had lovely sunlight pouring into it, and I loved shooting Amy in that light! Amy looked so stunning with her makeup done to perfection and hair styled with loose curls. She was truly SO happy it was finally HER day!
Matt was cool as could be. No nervousness, no stress – he was smiling and ready to get married. Phillip enjoyed shooting all the guys – and told me that the ring bearer was seriously the cutest little guy he’d ever seen. The flowergirls were precious with floral crowns in their hair and the sweetest smiles.
Amy rode in a horse-drawn carriage to the ceremony, and was beaming when she walked down the aisle. After the ceremony and family portraits, we had to rush STRAIGHT into first dances and cake cutting – because the cake was actually MELTING from the heat!!!! Amy stayed flexible and didn’t let the change in the order affect her mood. We had a great Bride/Groom portrait time after the cake, and even petted some horses!
They had a wonderful reception, and they had a big group of faithful friends sweating the night away on the dance floor. I LOVED when Amy grabbed the mic and sang! She kept it fun. After running through a tunnel of bubbles, a white limo whisked them away.
We hope you all enjoy this peek into Matt and Amy’s wedding day! And WE wish them a wonderful time in HAWAII!!!!
