Wedding Day | Jessica & Alex | August 22, 2020
What’s more special than having your wedding on your new husband’s family farm?! The Batten Family transformed their 120-acre property into a gorgeous wedding venue – and everywhere you looked was so meticulously landscaped and beautiful! It was so special the amount of love and care Alex’s parents put into making their day perfect!!!! 🙂
(If you missed seeing Alex + Jessica’s winter Engagement Session on the farm, click HERE! The farm looks so different now in the summertime!) We met Jessica just over a year ago, when she was MOH in Mary Margaret & John Wesley’s beautiful vineyard wedding (Click HERE to see their beautiful day!) So we were extra excited to see a bunch of the same bridesmaids and friends again this year!!!
We started off the morning seeing the girls get glammed up and photographing all of Jessica’s beautiful details. I especially loved her invitation suite – the paper had deckled edges and it was SO gorgeous!!! Alex’s gold band was actually Jessica’s dad’s wedding ring – and he passed it down to Alex (cue all the tears!) I loved how unique the earrings Jessica wore were – I’ve never seen any like it! Also, the ring Jessica wore on her right hand was her mom’s – and doubled as her “something blue”! I love how Jessica incorporated her mom also into the charm on her bouquet, and into a lace “heart” sewn into her dress. <3
The Batten Family Farm was the most beautiful place to take photos. The sky was a little overcast – which allowed us to take photos in front of that gorgeous pond with all the willow trees and crepe myrtles! It was sooooo beautiful!
Jessica and Alex chose to have a first look, so we got ALL the photos done pre-ceremony! After their beautiful ceremony, they rode off in a yellow convertible Thunderbird!!! (My dad would love it!)
The reception was so beautiful under a white tent with twinkling lights. They had a table of desserts and cake – and so much yummy food options! Jessica and Alex were surprised at the end of the night by FIREWORKS being set off behind the pond – and it was magical!!! What a perfect way to end a beautiful wedding day!
Not only was it a beautiful wedding – but right after the fireworks Jessica & Alex both took the time to thank Phillip and I profusely, and even invited us back out to the property to ride gators anytime! Then, Jessica texted us the next morning thanking us AGAIN, and commented on all social media platforms thanking us too! What in the world – how do we dserve such amazing people in our lives?! We are so grateful.
We hope you’ll LOVE seeing some of my favorite images from Jessica & Alex’s beautiful wedding day!!! ENJOY!!!!
P.S. Even better, there were THREE TLJ Couples at the wedding total – so fun! 🙂
