Umstead Park, Raleigh NC | Wedding Day | April 1st, 2016
Thunderstorms were due to hit us during Jenny & Jeffery’s ENTIRE wedding. THANK GOODNESS April Fools Day was just playing a joke on us….because not a drop of rain (much less storms!) fell from the sky, and the outdoor ceremony was beautiful.
Jenny arrived to the venue in the most beautiful flowing dress that had gold accents. She carried a bouquet she’d made herself, and joyfully snuck up on Jeffery for a First Look. After he turned and saw his lovely bride, Jeffery’s eyes lit up with such happiness!
Jenny & Jeffery’s ceremony was a really special, intimate gathering. They flew in from California to get married, and a unique woodsy wedding was planned. The ceremony was personal, with words from each Mother, and blessings from family written on river rocks. Family drew close to hear their vows, and Jenny beamed from ear to ear when they were pronounced husband and wife.
Even with an overcast day, the woods weren’t too dark to photograph their Bride & Groom portraits, and we had fun jumping over roots, and avoiding the poison ivy as we posed them. Jenny’s dress was PERFECT for twirling, so we photographed them dancing in the woods.
Jenny and Jeffery had a catered dinner for the family with a crackling fire in the backdrop. Everything about their day was thoughtful, intimate, and so focused on their love.
Jeffery & Jenny…thanks for trusting us with capturing your North Carolina wedding day. We hope you have a wonderful, adventurous life together! Enjoy this Sneak Peek!
