Janna + Glenn | Rose Hill Plantation | August 27th, 2016
These two had a VISION. Janna and Glenn planned every last detail TOGETHER, with a very classic, formal style in mind. A grand plantation home built in the 1700’s was the PERFECT venue for their theme, and the gold, black, and neutral colors they used were stunning.
Janna and Glenn spoiled their bridal party that morning, with catered food and drinks. The guys went swimming at Rose Hill’s pool, and the ladies got their hair and makeup done. (Makeup was ON POINT thanks to Caroline Sharp, makeup goddess!) Janna’s bridesmaids have the BEST personalities, and I could hear laughter echoing throughout the Manor all morning. Phillip had a great time with the guys, and they relaxed in the AC and played billiards.
I’m not gonna lie, it was a HOT day…and Janna was wearing a large ballgown that was heavy and HOT too. Everyone did a great job in the heat posing, and no one complained. All of you guys ROCKED!
After a sweet ceremony, all the guests were treated to a cocktail hour as the venue was flipped for the reception. As trays passed by, I couldn’t believe how fancy all the food looked! We were SO thankful for Jacob, (Rose Hill staff) who carried water for us as we photographed Janna & Glenn’s portraits. He was a LIFESAVER!
Janna was so creative, that she made Snapchat filters for all the guests to use – and people had fun during cocktail hour posting photos on the grounds. The reception was wonderful – once again the food was amazing! So much attention to detail had been done – 7 candles PER table, chocolate and a menu were on each plate…and hand-painted signage was everywhere. My FAVORITE part of the reception was the POPCORN TABLE!!! Ya’ll know that Phillip makes me homemade popcorn every single night…so when I saw a table full of flavored popcorns (as a take-home gift) I was in LOVE. The sign said, “Love is sharing your Popcorn”…so I guess I need to work on my sharing. SO COOL!
Janna and Glenn had a sparkler exit, and it was a perfect end to such a beautiful day. We are SO HAPPY for these two, and have truly enjoyed being a part of their journey to husband and wife!!! Enjoy this sneak peek into their wedding day!
