Gina & CJ = The Pavilion at Angus Barn Wedding!

The Pavilion at Angus Barn Wedding Day | CJ & Gina | June 8, 2024

What a happy wedding day this was! I was really looking forward to photographing Gina again after her STUNNING Bridal Session (click HERE if you missed seeing it) and also getting to meet CJ for the first time!! We woke up to a beautiful June day. It was warm and sunny with a slight breeze – no gnats, and the landscaping was looking just perfect with the mimosa trees in bloom!!! 🙂

We started off the morning with all the girls at The Umstead – and they had a ground level suite for everyone to enjoy hanging out, getting glammed, and enjoying the patio! Shelby did everyone’s hair and makeup – and it was so cute seeing each girl LIGHT UP when they saw their reflection in the mirror! All of Gina’s girls were so fun and were really helpful with keeping everything on time, packed up, and ready so we could head to Angus Barn on time!

I got to ride with the girls in the limo to Angus Barn, and while sharing champagne – they told funny “Gina Stories” and it was cute to hear the friendships Gina has with each of them! Once we arrived at Angus Barn, Gina got dressed in the newly renovated Bridal Suite, and did First Looks with her girls & with her Dad!

The ceremony took place overlooking the pond, with CJ’s stepdad Larry co-officiating! They provided sunscreen, white fans, water, and drinks for their guests! It was so thoughtful for everyone!

During the cocktail hour, we photographed all their photos & I could NOT get over their Bride & Groom portraits! The combination between the LIGHT, the lush green grass & landscaping, and their posing like real MODELS so naturally – it was sooooooo good! I am in LOVE WITH THEIR PORTRAITS and I can’t wait for ya’ll to see those! WOW WOW WOW!!!!!

The reception kicked off with their First Dance, and Gina’s parents giving speeches! The dinner was delicious (even the vendors were served shrimp, steak, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, salad, and rolls! We were completely spoiled – thank ya’ll so much!) Gina had an outfit change that was adorable (loved her shoes, and the bow in the back of her dress!) the band started up and kept Gina on the dance floor all night long! They had a Photo Booth, a fire pit, cigars & cornhole outside, dessert of both wedding cake AND chess pie, and a late night snack of popcorn! The guests got to take home little boxes of the famous chess pie too.

It was such a special night (made even BETTER because we got to catch up with our sweet couple Christine and Michael who we’ve photographed countless times over the years!) and seeing Gina have the DAY OF HER LIFE was sooooo much fun!!!

After an evening of dancing & singing, it was time to say goodbye! CJ & Gina left through a tunnel of sparklers out to their waiting limousine taking them back to The Umstead. It was such a happy day! I have LOTS of favorites to show ya’ll now – so I hope you ENJOY!!!
