Emily + Matthew = Wedding Day!

 

 

Rose Hill Plantation Wedding   |   Emily + Matthew   |  March 23, 2019

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for Matthew and Emily to get married! [If you missed seeing their UNC Engagement Session, click HERE and for Emily’s Bridal Session, click HERE!) The sun was shining, the temperature was mild, the grounds of Rose Hill looked green and beautiful, it was just so wonderful! The schedule of the day also ran smoothly, a big thanks in part to Chad Biggs and his team who were so on top of things all day!

Once we arrived to Rose Hill, all the ladies were getting glammed up by the talented Julie Robbins Makeup, and getting pretty hairstyles done by Melody Raper & Rebecca Bone! The guys were hanging out playing pool, eating snacks, and talking basketball. Two of my favorite parts of the morning was Emily helping her Dad get ready, and Emily & Matthew separately opening letters/gifts from each other. So sweet!

As both UNC grads, Emily and Matthew used touches of soft “Tarheel blue” throughout the day, and I LOVED how classic the guys looked in their tuxes, with a little pop of blue on their bowties! The ladies looked stunning in the blue with white and greenery in their bouquets! It was one of my FAVORITE bridal party combinations I’ve ever photographed!

The ceremony was beautifully done by Pastor Justin Deeter, and so personal since he’s known Emily for years. The backdrop of all the greenery and big floral arrangements was gorgeous for everyone to enjoy! After the ceremony, we all headed outside for lots of photos, and we had the prettiest light filtering through the trees!

No surprise, but the reception looked SO beautiful with lots of flowers, and the most beautiful floral tablecloth overlays on the head table and cake table. I LOVED how unique it looked! After a delicious plated dinner, the festivities kicked off with the most fun, crazy dancers – a group of 11+ guys who’ve all been roommates and best friends. They had a limbo line going, tossed Matthew in the air, and were signing with the microphone. Can I bring them to ALL our weddings, please?!

The beautiful wedding day came to a close with Emily & Matthew going through a tunnel of sparkers into the Manor House! It was a fun way to end the day!
