Rose Hill Estate Wedding Day | Emily & Knox | September 23, 2023
Well ya’ll, this was an extra special day for US – because Emily & Knox’s wedding was our 200th wedding day!!!! We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful couple, christ-centered ceremony, and sweet day of celebrating for such a big milestone! 🙂
Emily and Knox have been though many years of dating: through Emily becoming a Dentist, 5 years of long-distance, and today they FINALLY got married! They were just beyond happy to finally have their special day!
Eastern NC decided to throw a wrench in the plans & give us a tropical storm, in fact our phones were alerting us to a flood alert & to stay indoors unless of an emergency ON OUR DRIVE to Rose Hill! Yikes!!! But through all of the nasty weather, Knox & Emily stayed focused on the importance of their day and didn’t let that dampen their spirits! I was soooo proud of them for rolling with the weather.
We started off the morning with details & hanging with Emily & the bridesmaids. The girls were all SO cute in the most precious PJs, and Jillian Marie Beauty did a great job with Emily’s hair & makeup! Emily looked STUNNING in her TWO getting ready outfits! She was just radiant! One of the most special parts of the morning was when Emily opened her gift from Knox, and it was a custom necklace using his mom’s diamond. It brought us all to tears, for Emily to wear such a special piece.
They had a BEAUTIFUL Plan B for their ceremony, and Brushed by Bec did an incredible job with all the amazing floral designs! Who would have guessed that was a Plan B?! All the vendors came together to create such a unique setting for Emily and Knox, and it turned out so different & modern! (Thanks Kaisey for your expertise!) One of my favorite ever wedding moments happened at their ceremony – Emily and Knox chose 2 songs for their guests to all sing together and it was the most special few minutes ever. To have a pause in the day to focus on Christ, re-center focus on the purpose of their union, and have 100 people worshiping Christ together with hands raised was one of the most incredible moments of our career. It brought tears to my eyes and was just such a special time!!!
After the ceremony, Emily was willing to go outside in the misty rain – and we were able to take some photos outside! The groomsmen were great sports – because we all picked up sticks and leaves from all the wind to make the photos prettier! Thank you guys!! Emily and Knox took the most gorgeous Bride & Groom portraits afterwards – they are just SO EASY to photograph. Such naturals, and they are getting a MASSIVE Bride & Groom portrait gallery of photos because of it – wowwwww!
The reception flip was seriously like MAGIC! I have no idea how everyone flipped the room so fast!!! It looked SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Wow!!! I loved all the insanely beautiful flowers and neutrals that filled the room. The reception started off with delicious food (Rocky Top ya’ll are amazing!!!), amazing cake, sweet dances and welcome toasts, and then SUCH a fun dancing time with The Band of Oz!!! It was great to see Emily & Knox get to enjoy the evening with their family and friends. 🙂
The evening ended with a beautiful sparkler & cold spark exit at the front of the manor house at Rose Hill! Emily and Knox hugged their family goodbye, and drove off into the night in Knox’s convertible! It was such a beautiful way to end their day!!!
We are sooooo honored to have been part of such a Christ-honoring wedding day – and photograph an INSANELY gorgeous couple who trusted us during a TROPICAL STORM!!!! Best way for us to celebrate our 200th wedding, and celebrate The Gibsons!!!
I can’t wait for ya’ll to see my favorite photos below, enjoy!!! 🙂
