Crystal Coast Country Club | Emily & Chase | March 26, 2022
These days it can be rare to meet a couple that is genuine, down-to-earth, and just simply “themselves”! From the moment we met Chase & Emily over coffee, and then again when photographing their Engagement Session (click HERE in case you missed seeing it!) we just fell in love with how happy the “simple life” makes them! All they need are their friends & family, being on the water, and just enjoying life together. It’s pretty awesome – and we just couldn’t wait to celebrate them!

It was a beautiful & sunny day at the coast for Chase & Emily’s wedding! We started our day photographing at the most beautiful home in Morehead City, their friends Elise & Tracy’s house! I’m not sure which we loved more – their home OR their friendly pup Lilly. 🙂 All the girls were relaxing in the cutest little PJs and enjoying getting hair & makeup done! We enjoyed photographing all the details outside with the view of the Sound, it was pretty special! 🙂
Phillip went to Pine Knoll Shores to photograph Chase & all his groomsmen getting ready! Phillip had the BEST time with them – and later that day said over & over how “great of a guy Chase is” and Chase really is that amazing. 🙂
Even though it was a sunny day, the winds were a constant 24mph that day. I’m not talking about just “gusts” of wind, which is doable – but the wind CONSTANTLY was blowing at 24mph. Emily & all the bridesmaids were such good sports to try and take photographs outside, but ultimately Emily made the call to take them all inside!
Their ceremony was inside the beautiful First Methodist church, and it was extra special having Emily’s brother, Will, play the piano for the ceremony. As soon as the ceremony was over, Emily & Chase were whisked off in a Rolls Royce to the waterfront, where we took some photos while the guests filed out of the church!! I love that Chase & Emily were up for this fun last-minute idea – and those photos turned out to be some of my favorites! 🙂
Once we got back to Crystal Coast, it was time for more photos outside! Everyone was SO cold from the wind, but they were troopers and dealt with it a little longer! The reception kicked off with Emily & Chase shagging (they are HUGE shaggers to old beach music, and Chase even wore his dancing shoes!!!) and then they treated their guests to food, cake, drinks, and lots of dancing!
We stepped outside just as the sun was dipping low, and realized we had a gorgeous sunset. Haley, Emily’s AMAZING Maid of Honor ran inside to ask Chase & Emily if they wanted to run outside for a few more photos. They said YES – and we took some really magical photos with the sunset to end the evening with a PERFECT romantic shot!
It was such a happy day – and I already have so many favorites from their day. I can’t wait for you to see them below! ENJOY!!!!!
