The Highgrove Estate Wedding Day | Emily & Alex | March 25, 2023
What a sweet day this was for Emily and Alex!!! After years of dating long distance, graduation, finding jobs, and now finally they are husband and wife!!!! It was such a special day of joining not only the two of them together – but also their sweet families joining as one! 🙂
Surprisingly, the morning started off rainy and gloomy. It rained the whole time we were photographing their details – but the girls enjoyed hanging out in the Beauty Bus and getting glam together!! Then, when it was time to take photos, the rain completely stopped and the SUN came out for the rest of the day!!! It was incredible! Lots of prayers had been prayed over that weather! 🙂
I had a fun afternoon with all the girls – they were all so nice! The bridesmaids gave Emily a thoughtful gift of a scrapbook full of notes and photos. Emily started getting into her wedding dress & her mom got emotional doing it. (Sooo precious!) Just 2 years ago, her sister Olivia had gotten married, and Emily was helping HER!
We spent a lot of time photographing family photos – and it was so amazing how many siblings/nieces/nephews they have between them – but mainly how CLOSE they all are! I just loved seeing them all interact and their family bonds. Family is obviously very important to both Alex and Emily, and it was such a happy day full of love!!!
The ceremony was beautiful under the pergola with tons of flowers! I loved the flower columns on the sides of the pergola. It was so gorgeous!!
The reception kicked off with delicious food, pretty drinks, coffee station, yummy cake, speeches, and dancing!! I honestly don’t think Alex’s nephews and niece got off the dance floor once! His niece Olivia just wanted to “PARTY! PARTY!” The kids had the BEST TIME. Alex’s brothers were also hilarious on the dance floor and had us laughing with all their silly antics – they were having such a fun night!!!
After such a happy day, it was time for the sparkler exit! Emily and Alex exited out to a beautiful red oldsmobile convertible getaway car! It was such a fun way to be whisked off at the end of the night.
Thank you Alex & Emily for allowing us to capture your wedding day! I can’t wait to share my favorites with you below! ENJOY!!!
