The Barn at Broadslab | Wedding Day | Edie + Alex | January 5th, 2019
Our FIRST WEDDING of 2019!!!! The entire week leading up to Edie and Alex’s wedding day was rain rain rain, but miracoulously their day was dry and SUNNY! We were so thankful for the sunshine and kicking off our wedding season for the FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS without rain on the first wedding of the year!
Edie put SO MUCH thought into choosing her detail items. She provided us with a beautiful invitation suite with vintage stamps, ribbon, an heirloom silver tray, florals, a velvet ring box, and gorgeous jewelry items to photograph. I was in HEAVEN!
The theme continued throughout the Barn, with white draping from the ceiling, florals on every table with lots of texture and grennery, and custom wooden touches everywhere!
The morning started off with all the ladies getting glammed up in the huge bridal suite, and the guys hanging out on the porch.
Alex and Edie opted to have a First Look, so we got ALL their photos done pre-ceremony which was awesome!!! Everyone was great sports, because we had 10mph winds during portraits, which made things a little difficult and chilly!
Thankfully, Edie had a beautiful white fur coat to add, and it was the EPITOME of “winter wedding portraits”! I loved the addition!
After a sweet ceremony, we ran outside to catch the sunset with the GLOWIEST of portraits! It was soooooo pretty outside with the winter sunshine.
The reception kicked off with dancing, food, drinks, cake, a chocolate fountain, speeches, a surprise MOH rap/dance, and all the firefighters getting their helmets out for photos and dancing! We also LOVED seeing our October 2018 couple, Chelsea and Adam (Chelsea was a bridesmaid for Edie!) and former bridesmaid and groomsmen from October and catching up with all of them!
It was a perfect way to kick off our 2019 (still getting used to saying that!) season. We hope you’ll enjoy seeing all the photos! 🙂
