Crystal Woodard = Bridal Session!

I can’t even tell ya’ll how much I was looking forward to photographing Crystal’s Bridal Session! It’s extra special when you’re photographing friends – and after hearing so much about her & Stephen’s planning process over the last 1.5 years I was SO READY to see it all come together for this Bridal Session! We had the honor of photographing their winter proposal, their STUNNING Engagement Session (click HERE if you missed seeing it!) Bridal Session, and today their wedding day! 🙂

Crystal chose their wedding venue as the backdrop of her Bridal Session. It’s the perfect location – not just because there are so many photogenic spots at the venue – but also because it fits Crystal’s unique boho style! It’s hard to find a location in Eastern NC with that vibe, so I was excited to bring her vision to life! 🙂

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Crystal more beautiful. Phillip and I BOTH said that to each other on the way home from the session! She was absolutely GLOWING and her whole look was just perfection. Her bouquet was full of textures, mixes of dried/fresh, and I especially loved the cafe roses and the dried pieces! I absolutely LOVED her hair style – so elegant, and her dress had a SLIT in it which was so unique and sassy to show off her “something blue” Badgley Mischka heels!

After photographing Crystal twice already, I knew she was a natural model and would be easy to photograph. We played up the extra model-y type poses since she could easily handle it, and I tried to choose super unique backdrops at the Firehouse to make her session EXTRA special!

I am SO proud of how these bridal portraits turned out – I think they are different than our normal work – yet still super soft, feminine, and traditional in a sense!

We also loved officially meeting Crystal’s sweet mom, Lisa, and she was a big help with carrying “all the things” and being a part of Crystal’s special day! I can’t wait for ya’ll to see all my favorite portraits below – ENJOY!!!
