Claire & Niko = Rose Hill Estate Wedding Day!

Sunday was one of the most beautifully emotional weddings we’ve ever photographed. Claire & Niko have been dating for 7 years, (mostly long distance due to Niko being in the Air Force!) and their wedding was such a special day for their families to officially join together. There were many tears shed, sweet stories told, and incredibly thoughtful gifts given throughout the day. 🙂

We arrived at the gorgeous Rose Hill Estate and all the girls were wearing cute PJs and getting glammed up by Julie Robbins Makeup & Salt Beauty. The bridesmaids were all SO SWEET, and Claire’s Matron of Honor Casey was SO HELPFUL to both me and Claire all day. She was definitely a lifesaver!!!!

Claire was so thoughtful to everyone on her wedding day. She gave beautiful pearl necklaces for all her girls (because pearls are rare, and Claire knows she has 7 beautiful, rare friendships with these girls – alllllll the tears!) and gave her mom precious gifts including a children’s book her mom used to read Claire – so that her mom can someday read that same book to her grandchildren. (Tears again)

One of my favorite parts of the morning was when Claire opened her gift from Niko. Not only did Niko write a beautiful letter, but he also got her a beautiful pair of diamond earrings from Bailey’s in a jewelry box engraved “You can stop waiting now”. Claire was in tears, and told me that when Niko went away for deployment years ago, she gave him a watch with an engraving saying she’d be waiting on him to return. She couldn’t believe he’d remembered that, and what a complete circle with them now getting married. OH MY GOSH I was in tears after that story.

Sadly it had been DOWNPOURING on and off all morning, so the hard decision was made to have their ceremony inside.  BUT…. All of that sadness over the ceremony switch was gone once Claire walked down the aisle and Niko started crying after seeing his beautiful bride. (Claire always dreamed that her usually calm fiancé would cry!) He took the vows so seriously, that he was crying during them too. It was absolutely beautiful, and had everyone else crying too! It was a BEAUTIFUL moment!!!! 🙂

My next favorite sweet moment was during the First Dances. Not only was Claire crying, her daddy crying, but Niko, his mom, and even his brother was crying! I looked around the room and so many guests were wiping away tears too. It was just such an emotional day that everyone had looked forward to for so long.
