Charleston, SC // Sister Session // December 29, 2021
It’s no secret that I LOVE CHARLESTON! So, when my mom planned for us to spend 2 nights of our annual girls trip in downtown Charleston, I asked my sisters to model for me! We had the BEST time exploring around the historic streets of Charleston on foot – just having fun and taking photographs wherever we loved a backdrop! 🙂
It was a laid-back shoot – no professional hair/makeup and really no set plans in mind! Angela wore a mixture of new and vintage! Her black purse is a vintage Coach purse that was our GREAT-grandmothers! Her gold chain necklace is also vintage from our Nana on the other side of our family. Also, the neutral tones of her outfit looked really gorgeous against all the texture and colors of Charleston. Angela donated her hair a few months ago, so this was our first shoot with her short hair! I love this beautiful short cut (by the amazing Melody Raper) on Angela! (Our last shoot together was an anniversary session with Angela & Cameron – if you missed it, click HERE!)
Kristy also wore more neutral tones – and I love the pearl clip she added in her hair! Kristy was a great sport because she walked MILES all over Charleston in those heels, and she wasn’t even feeling great that day either! I really wanted to try out the new Canon R6 camera, and this shoot was perfect for it – I’m so thankful my sisters put up with all my ideas and humor me, haha! Kristy also modeled for me this past summer! If you missed seeing that EPIC mountain shoot, click HERE!
My mom is really the best. Ya’ll know she comes to help me at sessions sometimes when Phillip is working – and this “sister shoot” was no different! She carried tons of bags/shoes/coats for us, took behind the scenes photos of me working, and was like biggest fan per usual. Mom, you’re the best EVER!!!!! 🙂
I even hopped in for some photos, thanks to my family for making me do it! I always forget to have photos of myself. This was also my first shoot using my NEW leather backpack gifted to me from our precious TLJ Couple, Beverly and Jarred (click HERE to see their beautiful wedding!) and I just loved traveling with all my gear in it and wearing the backpack during the shoot!
We had such an amazing time in Charleston! If Charleston is your DREAM location for photographs too, reach out for a session! Phillip and I are always DOWN for a fun weekend away!!!! 🙂
