Donovan Manor Wedding Day | Caroline & Kodey | January 25, 2025
What a beautiful wedding to kick off our 2025 weddings! After a mid-week snow in North Carolina, Caroline & Kodey had the best of both worlds – a sunny day with a high of 49º – but also some leftover snow on the ground for their “winter wonderland vibes” wedding day theme! It was perfect!! 🙂
We started off their day photographing all the beautiful details (I had the honor of designing their Save the Dates & Invitation Suite!) and the girls arrived to Donovan Manor to finish up their glam! This venue is just soooo photogenic on the interior – I love every single bit of Donovan Manor’s design! It was so fun to photograph Caroline and her girls in the beautiful Bridal Suite & glam room! Caroline had a First Look with her Bridesmaids, her Dad, and then finally one with Kodey!
Since it was cold outside, we used the beautiful staircase as the backdrop for Caroline & Kodey’s First Look! It was just magical! We immediately started with their Bride & Groom portraits, and got so much variety in multiple different spots! We also photographed all their Bridal Party photos pre-ceremony too which was so nice. Caroline’s mom had planned a surprise Prayer Circle, and invited some guests early to pray over Kodey & Caroline’s marriage together, and even had prayer cards to be praying for them leading up to the wedding day!
The ceremony was just pure magic – with Flowers by Kyle knocking it out of the park with walking into a “winter wonderland”!! The ceremony was extra special because Kodey & Caroline’s mom sang a duet before Caroline walked down the aisle. I loved it! After the ceremony, we photographed family & more bride & groom portraits while guests enjoyed a cocktail hour as the sun set! Four 26 Events did an amazing job with a flip for dinner, and another flip after dinner to turn the evening into a desserts & dancing evening with the Band of Oz!!! Caroline switched into a fun party dress that was perfect for all her twirling. (Side note – I feel like Caroline should be a Disney Princess with her sweet smile and bubbly, dancing self!!!)
They danced all night long – and guests were treated to a Photo Booth, live music from Udeshi Hargett on the violin, plus the Band of Oz – lots of desserts (Caroline’s mom even made the wedding cake!), and favors of cookies & little bottles of Kodey’s favorite hot sauce! Fittingly, the band ended the evening with “Sweet Caroline” – and after a private last dance, Caroline & Kodey walked through a tunnel of sparklers & were whisked away!
It was a beautiful way to end to the day! I can’t wait for ya’ll to see all the unique winter wonderland photos below! Enjoy!
