Airlie Garden Bridal Session | Beverly Powell | November 3, 2021
I’ve probably said this a million times over the past 13 months, but Beverly is one of the most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. Not only has she surprised us with dozens of Baked by Melissa mini cupcakes, mailed me a package of DewEdit scrunchies because she knows I love Bachelor people, surprised me with starbucks when she sees I’m having a busy week…. but then for her Bridal Session sent us a sweet message with ANOTHER starbucks card to treat us to drinks/snacks before her session!!! How many people are that generous and thoughtful of others on THEIR special days? Wow… we are continually amazed by Beverly’s generosity and kindness!!!!
After our slightly traumatic Engagement Session experience (click HERE if you haven’t seen it yet) when there was awful rain/thunder/lightening and we were hiding out in our cars calling every single Raleigh indoor venue begging if we could use their spaces last minute – we were HOPING for a perfect day for Beverly’s Bridal Session.
Thankfully, even though the weather was forecasting 17mph winds, we had a beautiful day (Phillip says he was cold haha) with partial sunshine, and partial clouds with barely any wind gusts! Beverly and Jarred both went to UNCW, and Jarred even proposed to Beverly at Airlie (after remembering years ago she’d mentioned always hoping to get proposed to in front of the fountain) – so it was a full circle moment having her Bridal Session also at Airlie!
Beverly looked so beautiful with her updo with wispy tendrils framing her face, her form-fitting gown with tons of delicate floral detailing, her bouquet with organic textures, and how simplistic she kept all her jewelry. After being a bridesmaid in SIXTEEN weddings – it made me so happy to finally see her as the BRIDE!!!
Phillip and I had a great time walking around the beautiful gardens with Beverly and her sweet mom Beth – jamming to The Greatest Showman soundtrack, talking about food, starbucks, our mutual dislike of geese and shopping carts being too close to us, and whether spanish moss is full of diseases or not. (Haha we could talk forever!) So thankful to have such an easy-going, fun bride to spend these special moments with!!
I have lots of favorite photos to share with you – so I hope you enjoy seeing all of them below!!!
