The Merrimon Wynne House | Ashley & Stewart | June 10th, 2016
To say that we were excited for this wedding would be a HUGE understatement! Ever since we shot their Engagement Session last year, and Ashley’s bridal portraits at the Merrimon, we fell in love with both THEM as a couple, and their venue choice! Ashley and Stewart’s wedding day didn’t disappoint, it was as amazing as they are!
The morning was a bustle of hairspray, makeup, laughter, and smiles. Ashley had SO many fun girls around to keep the day lighthearted and fun. When Stewart arrived, he was his usual silly self – sending Ashley shirtless photos of himself on the couch in the next room over. The weather was HOT, but sunny and bright with no worry of rain to taint the happy atmosphere.
They got married under the most beautiful flowering arbor, in a nice shady spot. After the ceremony, Stewart and Ashley had an AWESOME reception. The DJ amped up the evening and the guests enjoyed dancing all night, using their photobooth (I’m SO buying one of those Polaroid cameras, so jealous!) and being treated to an open bar. There were several special toasts, and their family and friends emphasized what a sweet, wonderful couple Ashley and Stewart are. One of my favorite parts of the evening was when Ashley was lifted in the air above everyone’s heads on the dance floor!!!
Ashley and Stewart left through a tunnel of sparklers to a rickshaw (it played music! LOVED having music with an exit!) and waved everyone goodbye. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending to a wonderful wedding day. Stewart and Ashley – thanks for trusting us to photograph your special day – have a blast on your honeymoon!!!
