Ashley Downing = The Victorian Youngsville Bridal Session!

Ashley is one of those naturally beautiful people not only on the outside, but the inside too! She is SO photogenic, I don’t think she takes a SINGLE bad photo. After photographing her Engagement Session (which is one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITES, click HERE if you missed seeing it!) I just couldn’t WAIT to photograph her again! :)

It was also our very first time at their wedding venue, and it was so fun to walk around & envision what their wedding day would be like! I’m always a sucker for an older, historic home (especially one with black & white) so it was right down my alley! Ashley & Tristan got to the venue early to bury their bourbon, and it may have just worked for the Bridal Session too! After a week of forecasting a super cloudy day, and even that MORNING it was forecasting an 87% cloud coverage, we ended up having a GORGEOUS day with SUNSHINE!!! All I can say is that our prayers (and maybe the bourbon) worked!!!

We were so excited to meet Bella’s mom, Karen, and see her best friend Bella again (if she looks familiar, we photographed Bella’s wedding last year at The Sutherland! Click HERE to see it!) In fact, Bella & her husband Walker drove all the way from Tennessee that morning to be here in time for Ashley’s Bridal Session! So sweet of them!

Ashley looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL as a bride! Her dress had tons of custom details: adding appliqués & custom removable straps. Her makeup (by Beauty with Alys) was beyond gorgeous & made her eyes pop! We had the BEST evening walking around the venue with Ashley, and chasing all the pretty light.

After the session was over, we actually got to meet Ashley’s dad AND see Tristan in the parking lot! They had been hanging out at a restaurant next door while we were photographing, and teased they would sneak over and dig up the bourbon! Haha!
