Romantic Fall Engagement Session | Amy & Garrett | October 2, 2025
Ever since we met Amy & Garrett for their initial zoom meeting, we were SO EXCITED for their session! We had loved talking with them, and just knew we’d have so much fun at their session together! Sure enough, we laughed and joked our way through their whole session – and it was just the best time with these two!!! Not only are Amy and Garrett both so sweet, but they are also SO photogenic, have great style, and they were along for all my ideas! They spoiled me sooo much by making my job so incredibly easy! :)
We had a beautiful October day – not too warm, with SUNSHINE the whole entire session (yay!), and just some wind gusts we had to be patient to work around! It was truly such a perfect night!!! We loved exploring around the park (and trying to dodge all the other photographers out there, haha!) Amy looked so beautiful (she did her own hair + makeup and it was soooo pretty!) and Garrett did such a good job of not only posing, but translating all of my spontaneous ideas to Amy! :)
Garrett and Amy have such a fun relationship- always teasing each other, and joking around! We laughed so hard when Garrett kissed Amy after she’d put on lip-plumping gloss, and his lips started tingling and asked, “WHAT WAS THAT?” as he wiped his lips off – haha! And then when Amy mentioned a tradition of burying a “vegetable” or a “hotdog” (instead of bourbon so it wouldn’t rain on their wedding day) – the boys were both laughing & googling to find out what the heck that was about!!! Turn out, burying a SAUSAGE keeps rain away! It was too funny and we got some good laughs on that one! :)
Phillip was in heaven talking with Garrett about golf (lots of golf), road trips, photography, hunting, and work stuff – while Amy and I loved chatting about shopping, reality tv shows, traveling (especially GREECE!) and wedding dress shopping! It was so fun to learn more about them and hang out as we photographed together!!
It was such an honor to photograph this stunning couple & capture this happy stage in their lives!!! I have SO many favorites from our session together, and can’t wait for you to see some of my *current* favorite photos! I hope you ENJOY!
