Engagement Session | Amber & Douglas | October 4, 2021
There’s nothing like finding the most unexpected magical little spots and then RACING the darkening skies to make the most out of a session! Amber and Douglas booked us SEVEN months ago, so their Engagement Session was long awaited! We’d been checking the weather, and with only a 15% chance of scattered rain we decided that morning to move forward with our session! 🙂
But… OF COURSE when Phillip and I were scouting around, it started sprinkling, thundering, and even a flash of lightening! When the lightening calmed down, Douglas and Amber decided to just go for it – and embrace the weather.
We found the prettiest little field area with white flowers that just looked so magical!!!! I love how soft and romantic those photos look. Amber and Douglas were up for all my ideas – even sitting in that weedy little field and we got some truly GORGEOUS photos because of their laid back attitudes!
Amber looked absolutely STUNNING (I was obsessed with her hair and her eye makeup especially!) and had enjoyed taking the day off to get glamm by The Makeup Addict! I was so happy Amber was able to enjoy the getting ready process and feel special!
During our session, the skies were literally getting darker and darker as the minutes went by, and Phillip was watching the radar for us like a hawk. He gave us a warning that it was about to POUR on us – so we rushed to photograph a few spots in the second outfit – and as we were wrapping up the skies opened and it DUMPED!!!! Douglas and Amber were great sports as we were running to our cars, and I’m so proud of how they embraced the weather and just had fun! 🙂
I can’t wait for ya’ll to see some of my favorite photos from our session together. ENJOY!!!
P.S. Thanks to The Makeup Addict for Amber’s beautiful hair and makeup!
Oh my gosh~ these are incredible. I LOVE the natural spot you found to shoot these photos, the color, light and setting couldn’t be more perfect. And favorite at the museum is the black and white in the narrow corridor…………..stunning!!!!!!!!!! Another job well done by Tiffany L Johnson…………so proud of your work.
