Amber & Bryant | The Dean Plantation | Zebulon, NC | October 16, 2016
Imagine planning your wedding for a year…. just to have a major hurricane hit ON your wedding day. Sounds like a nightmare, right? Well the MORNING BEFORE their wedding day, Amber and Bryant were forced to reschedule their wedding day from October 8th to October 16th. Bryant was SO sweet, and called vendors and guests, trying to handle all the rescheduling for Amber. We were blown away by his kind take-charge attitude – to save Amber from having to make sad phone calls.
Their “second wedding day” as friends jokingly called it – was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We had perfect weather: sunny, warm, and everything went smoothly. Amber not only did her OWN makeup, but she did the makeup of several bridesmaids – that’s how selfless she was on HER special day!
Bryant finally was able to see his beautiful bride come down the path in a carriage and walk down the aisle to him in her beautiful dress. He was smiling so wide – it was as if they hadn’t been married for a week already!
At the reception, Amber and Bryant treated their guests to dinner, cake, dancing, and a huge candy bar! They even put US at one of their dinner tables – wow! One of the highlights of the reception was the surprise “first dance” they had with their niece and nephew. It was really cute!
As the reception was close to the end, all of a sudden Bryant took the microphone, and introduced Phillip and I to the crowd, and thanked us. He then announced they’d planned a special dance just for Phillip and I – and proceeded to play one of PHILLIP’S original songs!!! (On iTunes, folks – go check him out, haha!) It was such a fun moment for us to actually dance together, and SO THOUGHTFUL they gave US that time on THEIR wedding day. We were really humbled and thankful!
We ended the night with a colorful glow stick exit! Those photographs turned out so cool! Amber and Bryant gave us hugs…and gave us one of the flower arrangements to take home!
What a special couple these two are – we are so very BLESSED to have been a part of their day! They have HUGE, generous hearts, and that’s so amazing. Enjoy this little peek into their beautiful fall wedding!
