Alexis + Christian = Wedding day!

Even though summer weddings are HOT, most of the time we’re blessed with GORGEOUS sunlight. Alex and Christian’s wedding was no exception – we had beautiful sunshine and the most glowy sunset at the end of the evening!

Christian and Alex are so loved! They had family coming from all across the US for their wedding day. That’s pretty special!!!!

We started off the day shooting Alex’s details, and she had several family hirloom pieces for us to photograph. One of her pieces, a gold pin with hearts on it, dates back in her family to the 1800’s!!! She pinned a brooch from each side of her family inside her dress, which was so neat.

Melody Raper styled all hair for Alex and her bridesmaids. Melody is THE BEST, and I loved the style that Alexis chose for her updo. The bridesmaids were SO MUCH FUN to be around, and they braved the gnats and the heat with us, and even THANKED US halfway through the wedding day!!!

Christian and Alexis chose to have a First Look, and during the First Look, Alex surprised Christian with a wooden ring custom made from trees on his grandfather’s property. It was such a thoughtful gift that I’m sure Christian will cherish forever.

The reception was full of food (Alexis’ mom even made sure we ate, so sweet!!!) cake featuring all their favorite things from their dog to a Dunkin’ Donuts cup (by Cupcake Dreams!) lots of dancing, and an ice cream bar!

Alexis and Christian profusely thanked us throughout the evening, and were SO kind and complimentary to us. It seriously made our DAY!!!! We hope they’re having an AWESOME time in Nashville (we’re jealous!) and we hope that you’ll enjoy seeing all our favorite photos from their day below!!!
