Mallory & Maati = Colorful Goldsboro Wedding Day!

Colorful Walnut Creek Country Club Wedding Day  |  Mallory & Maati  |  June 27, 2027

Okay ya’ll, this was the most special day for us – having the honor of photographing Mallory and Maati’s wedding!!! Mallory is part of our extended family, so it’s been so exciting to watch their relationship grow from dating, long-distance dating, to proposal, and now their wedding day! They are perfect for each other, and Maati fits into our extended family like he’s always belonged! I’ll never forget early into their dating, I heard that Maati drove 2+ hours roundtrip to go attend our niece’s elementary school sporting event BY HIMSELF (Mallory was away for work!) It was so impressive & we all knew Maati was a good one from his intentionality and how he loves Mallory’s family like his own! Then, we went on a camping trip with them, and his competitive spirit fit in with all of Phillip’s brothers and their friends! :) We got to photograph their Proposal a few months ago, and were so honored when they asked us to photograph their wedding!!!

We kicked off their wedding day photographing the most colorful & tropical details at Mallory’s family home! I had SO much fun using colors and textures that I don’t normally get to use! While I was photographing details, the girls were getting ready. It was such a fun morning seeing all the girls relaxing and getting their glam done! My nieces looked soooo cute and they were so proud to be all dressed up! 

Mallory was the most chill bride – even with heavy rain forecasts looming! (See the photo of her with the forecast on her phone!) Maati ended up calling Mallory right before we were heading to the church for their ceremony to ask if she’d be willing to push back the wedding by an hour, so they could hopefully still get married outside! She agreed – and we started praying that the rain would clear!!!

Thankfully, everyone was flexible & an hour later, the heavy rains subsided – and family pitched in to dry off seats, re-set up the arbor, flowers, & sound system, and get the garden ready for a ceremony! It was sooo beautiful to have it in the garden & worth the wait! After the ceremony, we went back to the gorgeous willow tree where Maati proposed, and it was such a full circle moment to photograph their Bride & Groom portraits there! The lighting was PERFECT and I lovedddd their portraits! Their sweet pup, Olive, came to join in a few photos & she was so excited that her parents were married!! 

The reception kicked off at Walnut Creek Country Club Lakeside with beautiful views of the water! They were surrounded by their closest family – with a delicious dinner, drinks, a beautiful cake, and a surprise late-night snack of French Fries with “Utah Sauce” – a nod to Maati’s home! Mallory surprised him with it, which is soooo fun!
