Duke Chapel Wedding Day | Taylor & Nick | June 6th, 2026
What a beautiful day this was! We had a HOT one – 91º, but it didn’t damper what a gorgeous day Taylor and Nick had! The sun was shining, there was a great breeze, and the day went soooo smoothly and even ahead of schedule lots of the day! Loveeee a wedding day like that! :)
Taylor and the girls had fun getting ready with Wedded Kiss who did a great job on glam – and I had such a fun time styling their details. Two special details were a wooden pen (made by Nick’s dad) and the gold wedding band (that was also Nick’s dad’s band) Taylor got ready with her mom, and had First Looks with her sweet & hilarious Dad, a First Look with her bridesmaids, and then finally a First Look with Nick!
We knocked out a ton of portraits pre-ceremony, and headed to the iconic Duke Chapel! (Taylor got her PhD at Duke, so they qualify to get married there!) It was surreal to photograph in the chapel for the first time – I felt like I was in Europe touring one of their incredible chapels!! Wow, it was truly so special.
After the ceremony, Nick and Taylor exited the chapel through a tunnel of ribbon wands! I loved this idea – do an exit in the daylight with all your guests!!! So fun!!! We finally had the chance to photograph their bride & groom portraits after that – and it was photography heaven! I could have done it for hours!!!
The reception kicked off with food, drinks, dances, and most importantly – a Pittsburgh Cookie Table! This is a big tradition in Pittsburgh to have a HUGE table of cookies (all different kinds, made by family & friends) and guests can go through and get multiple cookies! This cookie table was the biggest one we’ve seen – enough cookies for all guests to sample 12 cookies each! They had custom boxes for the guests to put their cookies in & bring them home! Sooo fun! Nick’s mom, Mrs. Kim, did such a great job with all of that!
What a beautiful day this was! We are so excited for Nick and Taylor to start their married lives together!! It was such an honor to capture this beautiful day at such a special place! I can’t wait for ya’ll to see some of my current favorite photos below – enjoy!
