Rachel & Eric = The Maxwell Wedding Day!

What a STUNNING wedding day this was! The amount of detail and planning that went into Rachel & Eric’s wedding day is seriously mind-blowing. Rachel is such an organized, Type-A bride, and she designed a truly unique, beautiful wedding day!!! (With great help from her incredible planning team, Vui Co.) Eric and Rachel welcomed their guests the night before with a Rehearsal Dinner and party at the Matthews House in Cary, and then treated their guests to an amazing wedding day! 

We kicked off the morning with details & the girls getting glammed! It was extra special photographing their details, because I had the honor of designing their Invitation Suite! Rachel spoiled me with lots of pretty details to style – and sentimental pieces like a brooch of one grandmother’s, and Rachel’s baby bonnet that turned into a bouquet wrap from her other grandmother. So sweet!

Rachel and Eric opted to do a First Look and get all their photos done pre-ceremony! They had such a fun bridal party to spend the day with – from the girls singing karaoke in the morning on MICROPHONES in the bridal suite, to the guys doing fun “game day” photos off the trolley! Loved it! Also, I especially was in love with the mixed bridesmaid dresses! It was so unique and fun to have different lengths, shades of green, and patterns! I’ve received SO MANY messages from other people on instagram loving this idea!!!

The ceremony was officiated by Rachel’s uncle, and even though Eric & Rachel had spent time together doing photos – it was so sweet to see Eric get emotional seeing his bride walk down the aisle. As their unity ceremony, they chose to write each other letters to open in 5 years & put them in a custom box. What a cool idea! Eric and Rachel did a dip kiss as they exited as husband and wife, and it was perfect!

They kicked off the evening with cocktail hour, digging up their bourbon, Eric sharing a special drink + toast with his guys, and starting the reception! Their reception design was SO beautiful with all the green tones & whites. I especially loved the wood + white dance floor! It was stunning and really anchored the area! Brushed by Bec did an INCREDIBLE job on florals, as always!! For entrances, the bridal party walked in with fatheads of Eric & Rachel’s cats: Kiwi and Mango. Soooo cute!

The reception was FULL of great moments – from sweet speeches, to special dances, delicious food + cake, and then a FULL dance floor! Rachel and Eric spoiled their guests with a Photo Booth, dance floor party favors, signature drinks, and even a live artist to watch painting all night! The patio was lit with string lights for guests to enjoy a relaxing evening chatting or playing corn hole. It couldn’t have been any more perfect!
