Margaret & Jacob = Summertime Engagement Session!

What a perfect session to round out our busy month of May! We had a gorgeous sunny day, finally a MILD weather day in the 70’s, and it felt great outside without sweating for once!!! We were so excited to finally meet Jacob and Margaret in person (our initial meeting was over zoom!) and one of the FIRST things I noticed was that incredible RING!!! Wow wow wow! The oval diamond is so beautiful, and the gold band has two shapes of diamonds lining both sides. It is SUCH a stunner!! But….the first thing PHILLIP noticed was their adorable 1.5 year old mini bernedoodle – Moose!!! He is absolutely adorable, full of energy, and has the prettiest tri-color markings! 🙂

Jacob’s sister, Lauren, was so sweet to come along and help with Moose! But they realized in the busyness of getting Moose packed up – they left Margaret’s favorite photoshoot dress at home….AND locked their keys in the trunk of their car!!! Lauren was so amazing to volunteer to drive over an HOUR roundtrip to go pickup the dress for Margaret, and Jacob called a locksmith! Thankfully, they had grabbed 1 outfit out of the car before closing the trunk, so we could still start the session. Phillip happily took over Moose duties & waited at their car for the locksmith to arrive, so it all worked out great! 🙂

I was SO impressed with how Jacob & Margaret BOTH handled all that stressful adversity, and were still able to smile, laugh, and have a great time during their session through all the things that had happened leading up to the shoot! Jacob was even fielding calls throughout the session from the locksmith (who drove to the WRONG place first, haha!) and he still was such an incredible sport through all of those annoying distractions!

I had the BEST time with this sweet couple (and Moose!) I loved talking all about travel with them, hearing about their new house and Moose’s yard, and hearing about Margaret’s summer PT job. They are such hardworking, smart people!!

It was such a fun evening regardless of all the things that “went wrong” – who would ever think that we did Plan B and did some troubleshooting?! Not me!!! I have SO MANY favorites now to show ya’ll from Margaret & Jacob’s happy session – and can’t wait for you to see them below. ENJOY!!!

P.S. One last big thank you to Jacob’s sister Lauren who selflessly did ALL she could to make things perfect for them (Moose duties, driving back to get the dress, etc!) AND another thank you to Margaret & Jacob for both being AWESOME and giving me such a fun session to shoot!!!
