Grayson & James = Farm Engagement Session!

It’s not everyday that we get to photograph a couple from our hometown of Wilson, and IN our hometown! This session was extra special, because we got to photograph Grayson on her family land that has been farmed for 3 generations, that Grayson now farms herself! :)

Both James and Grayson work long hours for their family businesses, and I love that they BOTH are continuing family legacy by doing that. It was fun to finally meet them both in person for the first time at our session – hear about their love story, and talk all about our Wilson connections!

We had a milder NC August day thankfully, with the sun being hazy behind clouds allowing us to have a decent temperature for once!!! BUT, the gnats were out in FULL FORCE yall – and these two were the BEST SPORTS dealing with the gnats. I was literally editing DOZENS of gnats off their faces, hands, and the backgrounds in EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO. Yet, James & Grayson didn’t let that annoyance bother them! They just had a good time.

Phillip and I had the best time laughing with them, seeing Grayson’s farm, exploring around new areas, and photographing them. I love how James not only pulls out the playful side of Grayson (just like how Phillip does with me) – but how invested he is in Grayson’s family & how much they both value spending time with family. (Grayson jokes that her nephews love James more than they love HER! Haha it’s the cutest!) :)

We already can’t wait for their April 2024 wedding to photograph them together again! In the meantime, I have SOOOOO many favorites to share with ya’ll from this session. I can’t wait for ya’ll to see photos of Grayson and James below. ENJOY!!!! :)
